Most emotional ending to a film you've seen?

Not so much emotional, but the ending of both Dangerous Liaisons and Cruel Intentions. The character of Merteuil being revealed as an evil bitch is done so well in both; in Dangerous, Merteuil slowly removing her makeup, signifying the 'mask being taken off', and in Cruel Intentions, Merteuil walking out of the church with 'Bittersweet Symphony' blaring in the background, to meet Valmont's true account of what she is really like and her part in the destruction of so many lives.

Classic endings, check them out on Youtube.

Whilst it wasnt a classic, but I always remember a film called 'Project X' starring Matthew Broderick, I was only young at the time but dear me I had one of those 'no , I'm not crying, just got summit in me eye' moments.. If I recall correctly it was about Monkeys ( or Chimpanzees) being used in a military testing environment

I agree it is a very sad ending, although I think the movie is very different to what actually happened so I will say I sympathised for Charliza Theron's character, but I can't really comment on the real case.

I've just watched Dancer in the Dark, and I cried so much.

I started crying when Selma got found guilty, then it got worse when she refused the lawyer, I was shouting at the lawyer to do the case for free. When she finally got executed I was completely in tears. It's terrible because the prison guard is so nice to her.

Schindler's List had two, really: "I could have done more" & the people at the grave.

Also Family Man ("don't go"), LA Story ("I would turn the winRAB around, I would roll in the fog, I would bring in storms...") and Pan's Labyrinth come to mind.

Gawd, too many to list as it doesn't take much to get me blubbing...once the sweeping violins start then thats it!

Most storylines involving the underdog winning against the odRAB, especially if it involves rapturous applause in some sort of arena..Cool Runnings had me welling up yesterday!:D

Babe is the absolute worst as I have watched it so many times and I know exactly how it is gonna end, but as soon as Farmer Hogget says "That'll do pig" then thats it for me...:cry::)

Stand By Me. Every time.

Why, River, WHY!?

Everyone told me I'd cry during "The Green Mile" but it was so blindingly godawful I never got the chance. My eyes rolled so much I must have missed all of the sad bits.

To all the Donnie Darko fans in this thread -if you read "The Philosophy of Time Travel" (on the DVD or the website) you will become 100% clear what the story is about.

The saddest ending I ever saw was the ending of The Wizard of Oz when Oz himself told Dorothy she could go back home to Kansas. I couldn't stop crying for hours.

Not sure if it's the ending or not but Ring of Bright Water.

That is the most evil film ever made!!! My dad made me sit and watch it all when I was little, and it's scarred me ever since. They showed an advert for it yesterday on the tv...the advert made me cry!

Avoid this film!!!!!!!!!!
