Most emotional ending to a film you've seen?

I've seen this film- I thought it was obvious how he
died
...or was it different in the cinema to the DVD?

I always get choked up at Moulin Rouge- it's because Ewan McGregor's tears look so real.

EDIT- Spoiler tags- though anyone who didn't know would have read Biggie Smalls' message anyway! ;)

Probably Shawshank for me, because it's just such a happy moment from what has been quite a dark film for the most part. The whole end sequence from (I don't know how to do spoilers!) when Andy you-know-whats to the closing scene on the beach is just superb. I can never come away from watching that without feeling uplifted!

Also the Departed, not quite so uplifting :p
It all happens very suddenly, the lift door opens...

I know. It's a victim of its own success. It's a superb piece of music.

I hate it when songs become more closely associated with an advert than anything else.

5 that get to me

The summer of 42
Jean De Florette
Manon des sources
Silent Running
The Killing FielRAB

seems I'm a big softy, just rememberd another couple :o
The end of Das Boot hit you like a brick in the chest
The Mission

Oh Dumbo! I love that film!:o I haven't seen it for a few years now but I remember I used to cry at the start, when Dumbo was a baby, aw he was so cute but all the animals were horrible about his big ears & said he was ugly:cry:

Monsters Inc - This is a bit of a weird one but when Sully is trying to put Boo back in her room but she's showing him all her toys it always makes me tear up.

A little princess - When Sara is trying to get her Dad to remember her while she's been dragged away - Damn that's emotional!

And these too..

This one stanRAB out, I remember just seeing that clip on a countdown of saddest moments and I was in tears then, never having watched the film before.

Beaches too, I watched this one night, just before it came on my mum told me how sad it was, by the end of it I went into my mums room balling my eyes out. I don't think iv'e ever cried so much.

That's a recent one but that sure did make me cry.

This is going to sound really cheesy but Charlie & The Chocolate Factory always has me blubbing like a kid at the end when Charlie, Grandpa Joe and Willy Wonker are in the Great Glass Elevator and Willy Wonker says - "its all yours charlie .... " Blub like a kid every time !!

Also the bit in I Am Legend where his dog has just died and he goes to the video store and starts talking to the manuquin and he's crying and says "please say hello" ....

Forrest Gump too ... I've never even got a third of the way into the film - the bit when he's young and he has the straps on his legs and the bully's are chasing him - I have to walk out - Mr Hud thinks I'm a right wuss but I just can't deal with it !!!

God I am weak !!!!
