Mako isn't even an announced product. You've just seen a picture of it on a leaked AT&T (not even Nokia) picture. Please stop bashing stuff before you even used them. A lot of thought goes into making those devices.
THe N97 only has a three row keyboard...please tell me WHERE you would put the SPACE keys if you had to design a keyboard with 3 row???
ANd don't say you'd make it 4 rows cause that'd be impossible for the slide mechanism to be as sturdy as it is, and keep the device small.....

You got it right, there isnt much of an upgrade with the new Nokia Messaging that I used on the E75. I prefer it over Roadsync, because the use of shortcuts blew me away.

HTML is supported on Exchange 2007 only.

Ahh i see, I just saw that interview now...makes more sense

another thing i complain about though, is the lack of LED status light, or at least the Nokia Breathing lights, always useful i find... and also...the keypad illumination is always so weak...especially on NAM versions

if it had both of the things i just mentionned, it would of been the 100% perfect phone already haha, for now i'd say 95% perfect :P ahh and slap on a CCD sensor while you're at it!

I still see no compelling reason to get myself in to the iPhone walled garden/stranglehold. But if I get the N97 the touchscreen will be a bonus but otherwise no make-or-break issue for me - I am biased heavily towards hardware keyboards and lack of enthusiasm for the whole Apple circus.

You're in the wrong thread, anyway, with that rumoured toy's "incredible new featureset" :hehehe:

With the D-pad configuration on the left, it definitely reminds me of the N810. I need to see this in black though.

I can't do white. No way in hell can I do white.

Not at 5mpx it isn't. Maybe they were at a lower resolution.

Mine take about 5 seconds from picture taking to done processing. That's the one area I wouldn't mind some extra cpu horse power (or better ccd/cmos sensor so you could reduce the complexity of the noise removal algorithms) would be in image processing.

Assuming you never touch the screen or the backlight never comes on or you never switch a track stuff like that. You will likely get a day's worth if you just used it for music. Throw in some gaming or calling or texting or running programs and depending on what you did too much music may kill it.

But overall they've made great strides in making the music player part of these phones very power efficient. So as long as you don't play with it much you can in theory get dedicated DAP-like battery life.

I played with an X1 at the Sony store and I could not believe how small and compact it is. Also how well it's built. I was impressed, but will not go back to winmo for awhile. The Touch Pro I had last kept crashing and it was annoying as hell.

Does the new MSN, BB, or iPhone have the ability to;
* upload videos - from built in gallery or online?
* View Events, Send them to others, and Create events? If so it seems MUCH cleaner and more inviting & efficient.
* The ability for us to be able to not only import FB contacts into the device - but also sync (auto sync) to Ovi cloud service and import them - effectively using Ovi as a backup - makes me VERY tickled about it. With the BB once imported into the device, you need to use BBDM to backup.

You can't because the text entry thing occupies the whole screen and covers your send button. Even if it didn't and you touched it, it won't respond. You MUST exit the text entry box by hitting the checkmark to do anything with the page you were on. So much for unitasking. You must do things in order and not try to invoke the screen behind.

To me the fact that you are asking these questions makes me believe you are the kind of user who expects a modicum of polish in an interface.

I would like to have this phone ! it does everything I could want does anybody know if Best Buy will have this phone ? Or any other retail store . thanx :clapping:

So, seeing as how the MSRP is 699.99 but amazon and other retailers are selling near 600 dollars, should i not expect to make a pretty penny from selling this on ebay? I was able to get it at the 500 coupon glitch. I don't really want this phone anymore... should i take the phone and re-sell it, or just cancel the pre-order? my friend wants to buy it from me too, for the price i got it for. not sure what to do.

So where is the version of conversatons that works on the n97? This is news to me and if true i'd like to try it out on the 5800. As of now i don't know of any threaded text apps for s60v5.

It's true, there is no qwerty pad on the touch screen and as another posted; you can type text using the T9 on screen keys.

The idea is; if you're really going to do some heavy texting, most like the user is not moving and is stationed to gather the thought and type ut out. So user will not use the qwerty touch keys and use the real keys that is preferred. If you're texting and are walking/on the move, then using the T9 make sense because the on screen buttons are large and can be press with fewer errors.

Hope this make sense... :buddies:
