*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N86 8MP

For every update that has come out someone reports they think the tint is better or improved, but until I see shots that look like that of the E71x it's not fixed. It may have been improved in v210 (yet to be seen on NAM models) but it's not gone.

yes you are right, for the newest N86 (and all SL3) they can't be reactivate the PW unlock :reallysad ...not now ... thx for your help by the way

Just got a N86 8 MP from Rogers in Canada.

Transfered over my music that I had on an iPod and on my N95 8G. Tried to set up a few ringtones from my music from my previous Nokia's etc.

Got a message displayed that I can not use unregistered songs?

Many of the songs were from my own CD collection, uploaded to iTunes and synch'ed with an iPod and also previous versions of Nokia's.

What is this some lock out unless I buy music from Nokia off the OVI website?

I'm blind I guess.. Where in the settings is that date clock that stays on all the time? (I have it enabled on my n82, but can't find it in the n86..)

I realize its tempered glass, but much like anything else I hear being "scratch proof" or damage proof in some way, I'm not sure I completely believe it.... I'd rather not find out the hard way either. :)

Your picture does NOT detail how FAR from the Postcard steel bucket you're standing from. If its less than 5feet I'm sure I could duplicate that intensity or get the bucket & details on it just as clear with a mint condition SE W810i in 2MP size. I'll bet with a mint condition SE K790a/K800i with a 3.2MP size & Xenon Flash I could get the blurr of blue (or is it black) on the carpet with less intensity but no better quality photo than the W810i. BOTH of which I used in low light and summer sun conditions for 6mths or longer a piece.

Problem with pictures being worth a thousand words is their just words and don't tell the full story - case in point your pictures. This is why moving pictures or video tells the full story or a hell of a lot more than a random words & less imagination or rebuttal (even in this threads latest topic lol).

Sorry with the N86 I still get over the N82:
* larger screen
* Brighter screen - not a full need for screensaver mode; saving a screen: OLED.
* Possibly better DPad
* better build - HOPEFULLY.
* better sensor with larger aperture always good.
* revised OS: with Ovi Store embedded better seemless use of Ovi apps.
* Hopefully louder sepakers.

and oh US 3G for AT&T/Rogers Wireless in Canada with teh BEST 3G coverage across the continent for Roaming - non of that future promise bull being sold elsewhere.

So again the camera isn't all about the Xenon or not Xenon.

Odd, thats the url. Their site seems a bit slow right now. Basically its $48 USD for the screen. Ive had no issues with buying from them. They are in Honk Kong but do offer wide selection of shipping methods. If you need it right away its gonna cost ya. Might want to look for a place closer then.

The truth is they are all the same devices, the n85 has better battery life, bigger and nicer screen(oled) excellent music quality its fast both are fp2 also has 30 hrs of music playback, usb charging and the extra band for international 3g.

are you in an area with good 3g coverage? are you sure you are not in edge at that time when it happens? i have had my phone do that on the rare occaision, but not to the point where it is an issue for me, and i talk on the phone all day. might be an issue with the network you are on.

if i were you and i had good 3g coverage i would lock it to umts only and see if that stops the issue
