There is a limit to the speed with which most of us can flick. In most apps, to prevent the display from going flying uselessly quickly, the scroll slows long before the other end of a long web page or list.
I just got the 5800 today from Rogers. I'm trying to debrand it but I can't seem to find any product code that'll allow me to update the software. Can anyone point me to the right direction (or correct product code)?
Well, unless I'm missing something obvious, when I go to logs it has the name of the caller and the time that they called, but no duration. In the settings I selected show duration but it just flashes up after the call has ended and keeps no record of it. Again, unless I'm missing something.
The current price of the 5800 is with in my budget, so are the features comply with my needs. Well I popped the question just to ensure it is still worth buying after 2 and half years. But the phone features seems great for the price. (Ahem... Its my first phone )
Yeah I saw that v50 release , with kinetic scrolling in menus etc. Now the phone is really matured. but whats bugging me against buying this phone is the released year... Some freinds ask me whats the year and shrug (They dont use that phone BTW) Resistive screen is no problem coz i willl get used to it.
Another big question is that will Nokia still support it since now 5800 is not their flagship phone anymore?
I don't have 5800 anymore, but anybody seen this yet?

I have a question for the 5800 owners out there that have some experience with the tv out feature. I looked through you tube and see that the 5800 will run through tv out for web browsing. The guy that made the vid was using opera mini. My question is..will the videos that are on your micro sd play through the tv as well?? I understand that only a few people see a need for this feature but Im going to need a device that can temporarily double like a laptop and the 5800 (or n95) are the ones that may fit that need. Also , is the camera that bad..I mean really lousy ?? It has to be better than a throwaway $5 camera I hope .. .Any help is appreciated !! Tom
i have a question i hoped hasnt already been posted. on the regular dialer, where are the letters on each number? for example if you want to dial 1-800-FLOWERS, how do you do that on the 5800? or if you are in a call already, and are asked to enter letters, how is it done? all the youtube videos show the dialer with numbers only, its missing letters on every video. is this a design flaw?
Yes, but from the looks of the screenshots on the LCG page, this is still the 2008 version, meaning you need to use a stylus and can't use your finger. This totally sucks. Not to mention they stopped updating this software for 2 years.
But how about the native client? Does it support IMAP IDLE on multiple accounts?
Only thing I can think of is that you need to make sure that you aren't trying to set this up with a WiFi connection active. It needs to be provisioned with a cellular data connection. Disable any WiFi connections you have, delete the AP if you need to.
