Mamma Mia!

Its official Titanic has finally gone down!! according to bbc news ,telegraph and others the dcm media fiqures are correct mamma mia is now number 1 grossing film of all time and it still might reach

I can understand how you feel i feel similar! ...i wont be getting the dvd till thurs (birthday) but it would have been a better present getting it when it was number 1 all time film in uk ..as usual its good watching your favourite film in the comfort of your sitting room but the affect is much better on the big screen..its still showing this week and possibly next month in cinemas so as some people have indicated on here they may see it at the cinema even when they have the dvd and there are some christmas party screenings before christmas ...well at least box office wise it gave titanic a good run for its money ...and who knows it might get a second wind and sail past the sinking titanic yet!!!

I still can't get over how much I adore this film!!
Over the last few months I've had it in my top 3 films.. but actually, I think I may have to finally promote it to my favourite film of all time..

Yes, she has a 17 year old daughter in real life. But the plot of the film/show is that she was a 19/20 year old having young summer romances, not nearing middle age. A 39 year old with a disapproving mother would probably just get on with her life as normal despite rejection.

I went to see Hairspray 5 times!!!! :o

The first time I saw the musical of Mamma Mia, I liked it, but I saw it twice more and got bored. The film however I very much enjoyed!

I found it started off a bit slow but once it got going it was fabulous :D

Truth be told, I watched the first bit and didn't bother with the rest.

There are plenty more songs in the ABBA songbook they could use, its just how they do it.

Plus you could go down the path of "featuring 2 new songs from Benny and Bjorn"

Actually two Golden Globes!! one for best comedy/.musical one for meryl streep for best actress in best musical /comedy film!

Yeah, like you, I only cringed up until a certain point in the movie. I was getting into it slowly, but by the time Super Trouper came on (go on then, even Chiquita (sp.) came on) I was ready to roll! :D

I wouldn't mind going to a sing along one, but cinema is 45 minute bus ride away & I'm not sure if I can persuade my friend to go with me again, as she went with me yesterday (her second time) and it is a bit soon to be asking. It's finding the time as well, but who knows what'll happen ... :D
