Mamma Mia!

Tottally agree! An Instant cheer me up film!! , i think its reached a far wider audience on dvd as a lot of people can now see why it has broke so many recorRAB on film and dvd !

Can't blame the film for that m'dear. It got it's story from the musical ;) And of course the song was "cobbled around" the songs, that's how it was written for the musical on the west end!

^ true! I cannot stand the music in the hsm films!

Back to Mamma Mia! though and there's an advert in todays Daily Mirror for it, the text on it is "You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life" haha and the pics of the cast in the outfits at the end of the films. I thought it was an ad for the dvd but nope! still "in cinemas everywhere now" lol :p
Maybe they are pushing for it to go to number 1!

I just got back from my second viewing and I enjoyed it much more. The cinema was packed this time around and it was a much more fun experience.

The audience roared with laughter when Pierce started singing 'S.O.S'. They actually wouldn't stop throughout his whole time singing. I felt quite bad for him actually because he really wasn't that bad and I quite like that song.

I much enjoyed Meryl the second time round and once again throught her Baranski-Julie trio stole the show. They are all fantastic.

The guy who played Sky still made me cringe. Especially his "I LOVEEEE YOU" to Sophie at the wedding...Awful!

"Does Your Mother Know", "Money, Money, Money" and "Dancing Queen" were by far the best songs. Great sequences and just hilarious.

Great film! :p

Just back from seeing mamma mia.And it was the best film i have seen in a long while.I laughed all the way through.

Julie walters for me stole the show. She was fantastic.Meryl singing winner was great. It was a great film and i recommend it to anyone especially for a girlie night.

Colin firth should have been in it more, he was brillent in the scenes he was in.

I really cant wait till its out on dvd to see extras they have missed.

PS, you have to wait at the end at the credits, its great especially if you like Peirce Brosnan.

I know this isn't a popular opinion around here, but I was disappointed! I know, I was in the mind set not to take it all too seriously, but as much as I love Abba I was bored watching this...

Cineworld are doing singalong showings at the weekend. But what does that mean? The film will have subtitles over the songs!
