I agree with you DJ!
But that is the point, when you compare the pricing in the U.S. you have to take a look at what they are getting for the money they pay. BEV doe's indeed get a fair $ for the channels/services provided.
BEV can/should be making a profit at the current price level they are at. They have twice as many subs as *C so their cost for "deals" to get subs is spread over a greater user base, so I still can't see why they are not making a profit at the current price level.
The problem as I see it is trying to get subs to buy the premium product like TMN/MC (which I suspect has a good profit margin for BEV) which I for one will currently not subscribe to as a westerner. MC has to get shows current, not months or a year after the first airing in the U.S. I also want the real MC-HD and I don't really care what excuses MC or BEV have as to why we don't have it. The fact of the matter is westerners are getting short changed compared to the east. If a premium channel like MC can't/won't provide the premium part of the programming, then maybe it is time to combine TMN/MC and use the resources across Canada to get the premium. This would definately help BEV's bottom line in freeing transponders as well as getting more people subbing to the product.
