chile miners rescue bbcnews24 or sky news

I flicked between BBC and Sky. Sky annoyed me by breaking for adverts.

The BBC presenter was excellent, he also spoke the language well. I thought his final interview with President Pinera was good especially when he asked about ownership of the note and the compensation issue.

Did anyone else notice that the man's face got redder and redder as the hot day went on. Why didn't he wear a hat?

Stay up...they are getting them up quickly now...within ten minutes. I wont be able to switch off until every single man is out of there.

Real solidarity...all united regardless of status and position within Chilean society. Marvellous stuff.

A real feel good story, a story which has surely united the world in joy.

Chile, feel very proud of what you have achieved.

Seems to me like the mining expert is assessing the condition of the tunnel in the ascent and descent ...basically a full test run

The eagle has landed. The guy that's gone down is essentially, to put it less than delicately, the dummy run to make sure it'll all go fine when they start sending miners up.

Do you know, I thought that to...but so hope it isn't true. It so could be a film set couldn't it. The serious bit is, this is real life, and so often, these days, we mix real life with drama and soap don't we, thanks to 24 hr tv.
