chile miners rescue bbcnews24 or sky news

It's just wonderful. I never thought I would see this day. Thought they were goners for sure, and what a terrible way to go! What a great day! :)

Am very impressed with the professionalism of all of those involved in the rescue. Looks like they have managed to put together a good programme of rescue, reunion, and aftercare for the miners. The atmosphere there must be quite electric.

In other major construction news, Delhi officials say that they will have finished unblocking the toilets in the Athlete's Village before Christmas now, not after.

LOL:D:D he does seem to bounce around the site chatting to everyone as a friend rather than as a reporter!

Loving seeing some of these tough men crying with joy such as the man given the telephone. The emotion there is becoming palable

they broadcasting on bbc world, bbc america, pbs america, abc australia and i am sure they said some other places in world too, so only makes sence to have continuios coverage and no breaks.

Think matt frai is there as he is main anchor for american audiences and tim is for the euro/austrailan audiences so the viewers know who they are, if it was a stranger would confuse them

I agree. I should have gone to sleep an hour ago but I still get tears in my eyes as each miner comes out of the capsule.
I was listening to John McCarthy on Newsnight and he said the sight of the tiny capsule brought back the horror of when he was trussed up like an Egyptian mummy with tape to move him around Beirut adding it takes time to learn how to cope with the dreadful memories

I really hope they give all the miners and their families time to adjust and come to terms with all that's happened. A fair few will have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder..

:( Some of the relatives are already saying they've been approached with offers from the media. They will go through so many emotions in the coming months that their lives will never be the same.

But you can hardly blame them if they have never had money up till now.

It's been a really uplifting day and one that shows the best in humanity. And "no" I'm not finding it repetitive at all ( though I haven't watched every rescue.) It's just been incredibly moving.
