Last night I set my 'list' to 'All Sub' and scrolled through all the channels above 1000, and they're mostly working now. I have some work to do re-setting my event timers, but it looks like there's at least one channel I didn't get before - I noticed AMC listed at 1281, and I can remember that when "Mad Men" started it's newest season on AMC only that Bell told me they don't carry that channel. Also, I have to admit I'm looking forward to watching all the Olympic coverage in HD!

It will be in a new International package - $3.00. I don't know yet if it's Nimiq 2. It will be available May 6.

when are they going to remove the 800 channels already???!!! They have been telling us for months that they will be leaving. I am sick of having to search for the "proper" channels when setting something to record in the PVR. And where in gods name is Speed HD already???
Bell seriously needs to s**t or get off the pot!

They were both showing up this morning on mine,W movies is on the same channel number (333) as Drive-in was. Sundance is on 613.
Im getting W movies,as I was a subscriber to Drive-in,but not Sundance,no subscription to SexTV.

been a while since \i looked here, but \i have something to say about Bell and its new HD lineup.\

Where the hell is Golf HD? Speed HD?

all these promises, and they bring local content tripe? \What about \PBS other than |Seattle and Boston (the locals advertise Canadian participatioin) cmon let's get with it. If I'm going to pay over 100 for rerun movies and commercials, I may try and bring back Direct TV and go back to the antenna. Good grief. and they have the nerve to put commercials on TV on how they are being gouged for local stations.. You and |I know that will be passed on to us.

Wasn't WSBK channel 296 suppose to become part of the Family 1 theme pack on March 1st. It is still red on my guide and I subscribe to the Family 1 theme pack.

Subscribers should boycott the mini theme packs with two channels for $3.00. That way bell would have to add new channels to existing theme packs.

I totally agree...

Why continue to subsidize a failing industry with our tax dollars?

Why does the guy who owns a failing ma and pa store not get the same kind of Government backing.

What's the definition of insane again...oh yeah...doing the same thing over and over...and expecting different results.

Sorry for leaving the track of the thread...

Can you point to any confirmation of that? The Olympic broadcasters TSN, Rogers Sportsnet, OLN, and ATN are not selectable in my guide, and it is already February. (I don't subscribe to any of the Sports or International packs.)

The two channels I am most looking forward to right now, and hopefully, Bell will eventually carry them, are History HD as well as Movietime HD. I still haven't heard any word as to whether Bell is considering carrying them.

I agree. The precedent was set with the HD Theme Packs. Take away HDNET which is part of every pack and the HD packs have much fewer channels than any of the SD packs. There really are only enough channels for only one or two HD packs not five but Bell discovered that we the subs were willing to pay for minipacks without a complaint. It's our own fault.

AMC has been available since the end of November, so if you were still using the 800's as your HD channels you would have never seen it until now. Also TCM and CNN have launched HD channels on Bell as well in the 1000's, not in the 800's. And there have been a few new french HD channels added in the last few days as well.

Yes, I realize that you were referring to my previous post. Perhaps you read it wrong. I did not mean to imply that bundling the two channels together would drive Bell to bankruptcy. I meant that Bell would not see a return on investment for obtaining those two channels. Why would any company deliberately add to their product line something that would lose it money in perpetuity?

I would complain but I already added the international package (which contains just CNN International & BNN which I already get with News 1) Hopefully they add a few more channels like France 24 or Deutsche Welle to the package eventually. Interesting that they did not put Russia Today in the package?

i thought the same thing. i am anxious for the 800 channels and to have news ones.

Upon seeing this Post by Pinza, I did a search for Jocko Thomas and his famous saying, and sadly found out He died just days ago on May 5th, 2010.
Having grown up in the GTA, his reports were part of every morning. See the link to hear his famous saying.
I do look forward to tuning in from 2000 kms away.

No free preview. Maybe they couldn't negotiate it with Al Jazeera. Plus, they're treating it like an international channel rather than a regular theme pack channel. I think it could have gone with CNNi, but probably have to charge more than $3.
