I agree with pretty much everything you said. I wouldn't say that the prequels were necessarily 'bad' films, I'd certainly rate them higher than the turgid LOTR's trilogy, it's just they could have been better, alot better.

I'm sure they only showed footage from the Princess era, nothing from when Anglia produced the show. Nice to see Kirsty doing vox pops, this was key to the old Anglia show in 2000.

Gutted. Some of the best movies of my teenage years (and no doubt many other people's!) were Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Ferris and Some Kind of Wonderful. Not forgetting 16 Candles too. 59 is no age. :(
