Favourite Anime movie?

Sorry to revive this Thread once again but I've just finished watching "The Grave Of The Fireflies" on Youtube. I even took everyone's advice and watched it in the original Japanese.

OMG I'm just so lost for worRAB, I really don't know what to say:(.

Hearing what people had been saying I did expect this Film to be sad but nothing had prepared me with how powerful the message truely is. Now I'm not the typ who gets upset that easily but by the time this Movie ended I was just so choked up:cry:.

I've seen plenty of powerful Films that got me thinking but honestly hand on heart nothing has ever come as close as this. Studio Ghibli had once again done a fantastic job!

This is going to sound so cliched but just this morning I was moaning about my broken TV and how now is not the time to buy a new one but after watching this it just made be grateful for what I've really got right now. People like the Characters of Seita & Setsuko suffering in wars or somthing similer are going through far worst right now and all I care about is my stupid TV:mad:?! I could always buy a new TV and carry on with my life as usual with or without it; people like Seita & Setsuko can't even gather enough food for themselves let alone find a decent home to live (which are far more important than a bloody TV) and are constantly struggling to survive.

I also just loved the way how this Movie showed how wrong a War truely is with who is really suffering and done in a non patronising way too.



This is all I've got to say really but I can honestly say this truely is one of the if not most powerful Movie I have ever seen. 10/10.

Great film. Never seen the TV series though. The OH has SAC for her PSP, I just need to borrow it and it!
 
I think the first season of SAC is, if anything, actually better than the film it sprang from. They're not really mother and daughter, though, more second cousins. Sort of a parallel universe where the Major hasn't gone all metaphysical but is still very much alive and kicking, and wearing not a lot in the way of uniform. Gotta love these bionic gals.
