Our military tradition of "ruffles and flourishes" often follows in kind with governmental speakers when in public. To some it may be redundant but then again...I myself am very proud of my heritage and citizenship therefore representation of my country by display of flags doesn't bother me.

I would be more inclined to believe the person was found guilty on 6/29/09 and the court will "decree" the actual sentencing during the sentencing phase of the case on 9/29/09.
