Speeding ticket on military base?

I got a ticket for going 14 mph over the posted speed limit. I didn't receive a fine or anything but the mp told me I will get 4 points on my record on base. I'm 17 and still under my parent's insurance. Since it will not show up on the insurance, will they find out any other way? My dad is retired so I know they can't go track down his command or anything but he is federally employed on the base now. Also, the back of the ticket says I must inform my sponsor of the violation and that the original copy of the traffic ticket "will be forwarded in accordance with established procedures." What does that mean? Will my dad get a copy of the ticket?
How will he receive the copy? In the mail?

If I remember my military police days....you received a DD Fm 1408. This is a traffic ticket for those on the base only and the information stays on the base and not on your state drivers record.

You will get a point assessment for driving on base but it has nothing to do with your state drivers license.

The worst that will come of your ticket is receive the base point assessment. If you exceed that point accumulation...your on base driving privileges can be terminated...but not your off base privileges.

Your dad may very likely get notice through the chain of command in his job that you got the ticket...yes!

yes your dad will find out on way or another
if you don't tell them you may not be able to drive on base
it wil be forwared to the states DMV office
and up the chain of command on the base
