What movie do you consider to be the most uplifting/moving/emotional one you've seen?

Another one for 'Bridge to Terabithia' here. Such a good film and not at all what i thought it was going to be like when i sat down to watch it, so was kind of thankful i was on my own because i cried like a baby. Brilliant film.

Also agree with 'Shawshank' and 'Green Mile', both brilliantly shot, moving films.

I also cry everytime i watch 'Beaches' and i know its a cliche but also 'My Girl', both have heartbreaking emotional scenes in.
 
The Pursuit of Happyness is one of many movies I've cried at, but one of the only movies I remember why I cried, that scene in the subway and when his little boy dropped his toy and they had to run for the bus and couldn't go back for it had me in pieces

Dumbo is another one, the scene where his mother is in the cage and he goes to see her, tore me apart as a 3 year old and still moves me to this day
 
I felt emotional in the cinema, yet watching it at home on dvd, I felt nothing. It is a 'cinematic experience' film for me. Nowhere near as good at home.
 
I cryed loaRAB throughout that film too.
To be honest I found the whole film really uncomfortable to watch. The happy ending was down to sheer luck, I think he was wrong to put his kid through all that just on the off chance of landing a job as a banker. Still a good movie though.
 
Philadelphia. Particularly the scene after the party where Tom Hanks is describing the aria to Denzel Washington. Gets me every time.
 
I was ok through most of Schindler's List but at the end when all he could think was the lives he could have saved, how many lives for this car, this watch, i got a bit choked up then.
 
I remember watching "The Rose" on video, with my step-mum, one afternoon, in about 1984

Amazing film, amazing Bette Midler!

Even now, 25 years later, hearing the first few chorRAB of "The Rose" makes me burst into tears:cry:
