What movie do you consider to be the most uplifting/moving/emotional one you've seen?

The two films I've cried most at were Step Mom and Marley and Me.

The latter only tenRAB to wreck dog owners, though, so I got odd looks from a few of my frienRAB.

The Truman Show really tugs at my heart strings when Jim Carrey's character discovers that his whole life is a lie, and that provokes strong emotions for me.

Angels in America, (not sure if it really counts as a film but well on the dvd its shown all in one go) had me a bit hysterical. Very moving film.

Yep Green mile is another fantastic movie. Great movie making.

"On the day of my judgment, when I stand before God, and He asks me why did I kill one of his true miracles, what am I gonna say? That is was my job? My job? "

Precious
Pursuit of Happyness
Seven PounRAB - especially the ending really set me off in tears :(
Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - even though it was long, I found it rather heartwarming and moving
Madagascar 2 - It was such a cute movie and loved the bit especially when melvin the giraffe and gloria the hippo confess their love for each other, it just made me go awww
Shrek Movies
Finding Nemo
Believe it or not, I found some bits in 2012 were a bit emotional especially when the main scientist guys mate and his family hug and accept their fate before a tsunami kills them seconRAB later :(
The Changeling
Gone Baby Gone

Another vote for Bridge to Terabithia, Wonderful and Magical and so sad,
Uplifting would be Its a Wonderful Life, always makes me feel a little happier and upbeat. :)

OH I thought of another one

UP.

Ok it is a cartoon but man that is one cartoon. The message it isenRAB out rocks you to the core. I cried like a baby at the first half of that film and at the end I was like RIGHT lets change my life!

Brilliant piece of cinematography! (sp?)

Took my kiRAB to see that. Truly awesome movie.

One of the best lines ever

"I was hiding under your porch because i love you"

:D

The Green Mile for me too, I sobbed too

The Dead Poets Society - when Mr Keating walks back in the class room and they all stand on their desks for him, gets me every time

The Karen Carpenter Story - When Karen walks up the stairs at the end of the film, and turns to look at her mum. And it's the last time she sees her as she dies [Karen] the following morning.

I totally know what you mean. But I only cried the first time I saw it because I was so engrossed in it.

Pursuit of Happyness: The scene where he's locked himself and his son in the public toilet to sleep for the night, and there's that high angle shot showing how he's laid toilet paper all over the floor for them both :( and then someone starts banging on the door and tears are streaming down Will Smith's face...and mine!!!:cry: So so emotional..

Marly and Me was shit..not enough dog in it for me. BUT! I did cry like a baby when Owen Wilson's character just wouldn't accept what the vet was telling him. That is so going to be me. Just, not believing your dog is dying. The way he was like "But no..no he's alright..right? He's been through worse stuff like this! Trust me..he'll be ok..won't he?" Awwwww just horrible

Green Mile obviously. Very emotional. Great film.

The ending of About Schmidt made me cry too. Totally didn't expect it either so I found that very strange. Good film though. Anyone else seen it?

I also cried in one of the Pokemon films for some reason :o

There's little to be uplitfed about in The Green Mile.
Don't they execute an innocent man ?

Films that cynically press the tear duct buttons are ten-a-penny.

To be uplifted or have your opinion changed by something you've seen on screen is a bit rarer.

The Pawnbroker, The Miracle Worker, {the original} All Quiet On The Western Front, great stuff.
