Wall E

I know what you mean, hype and publicity can really ruin a film if you simply end up being swamped by it. I managed to miss all the hype for WALL-E so wasn't spoiled in the slightest. Result. :D

Not if WalMart* stanRAB for Waste Allocation Load Lifter crap products division.

BnL is more of a dig at the likes of WalMart*, and the colouring matches nicely with our own BnL, Tesco. :)

:D Well they've got to keep Uncle Steve happy!

I just don't find the hype (well, i suppose it is a Pixar movie)

No pixar will EVER hold a candle to the top 3, Toy Story (1,2), A Bugs Life & Monster Inc.

I adored it. Wall-E & EVE were just adorable & I loved M-O, he was hilarious.

I think the sadness comes from the sense of loneliness to begin with and the ending I welled up at but it finished, as other people said, on an uplifting note. I don't think I would have coped with
Wall-E not remembering EVE or himself at that matter
! :p

should've done the Diet Coke movie ticket bottle competition then, the daily entry closing date has passed now but when it was still open every single bottle was winning free movie tickets for everyone that entered :D

It's a bit of a shame that now there's a stream of publicity coming out that gives away a lot of what happens in the film. When I watched it, all I'd seen was what was in one of the trailers, which only has scenes from the first act, and was suprised by a lot of what happens.

Number 5 is alive!!

Anyone else think Wall-E looks like Johnny 5 from the Short Circuit films?

I will probably watch it, but I doubt I'll go to the cinema to see it, I'll just wait for it to come out on DVD :)

Ha. I said exactly the same after seeing it. I was, for a couple of minutes, slightly disappointed when the story kicked in, because I was just so happy to watch WALL-E silently going about his job. I think I would still have loved the film if it had just been that for an hour and a half!

No when you watch this movie..... Johnny 5 will look like shit. Wall.e is way cuter..... And waaaaay more fun to look at. Johnny 5 is just creepy.

And you have to watch this in the cinema...... The visuals are just stunning..... stunning. Preferably watch this on an imax screen.

I don't think I have ever enjoyed an animated film as much as I enjoyed Wall-E. It was simply stunning. I am a grown man of nearly 29 and the very next day I went out to Woolworths to buy a WALL-E toy. My partner who never rewatches films ever, not even on DVD a few months/years later, said that he would happily go and rewatch it at the cinema. The Earth scenes were breathtaking and the ship scenes had everything the best Disney and Pixar movies have to offer, all wrapped up into one package. I am a huge Pixar fan (I own them all) but until this week, the Incredibles was my favourite. Having rewatched it the other day, I realised that it isn't a patch on WALL-E when it comes to delivering that complete package. Every Pixar film contains elements of what makes a great family film and until now, only Nemo had managed to combine the visuals with pitch-perfect storytelling. What was truely great about WALL-E was the non-shmaltzy way then handled the sentiment of the story. Absolutely brilliant.

I wasn't bothered about this in the run up to it's release, although I am a Pixar fan.
The short film at the start is brilliant, and Wall E is self is outstanding. Yes it's better that Toy Story 2; the animation (at times your struggle to believe it's not real), the plot the characters etc etc.
Go and see it, it's Pixar's masterpiece.

Oh dear Fat People.

Are there really fat pride groups?

There is nothing to be proud about in being clinically obese! Curvy and normal, yes yes yes, morbidly obese no no no.
