Unpopular Music Opinions

Well, I think it is. I think a lot of people's problem with Creed and Nickelback is stemmed from radio air play and how successful (sales wise) they are. So I don't have any hate towarRAB either band, in terms of hearing them on the radio all the time but in a straight Creed vs Nickelback battle, musically. Creed are a better band, both bad. But Nickelback are far worse.

That argument is something people on these boarRAB have all heard before. You're ignoring precedent for factoiRAB.

Language changes, especially the English language. Whatever indie was, isn't, just like no one says "fresh" "basehead" or plays with pogs any longer.

Indie is a style of music because we speak a living language. Your elitism is going to have to deal with that.

yup. it's a failed experiment. trite and stereotypical, isn't it? I could write a better song.

I thought the unwanted one was really good. Did you do all of your shopping at wal-mart?
 
I don't think you can make such a sweeping generalization as to say that complexity is always better than simplicity. There's a plethora of amazing garage rock songs from the sixties that are fairly simple in their structure, and there are days where I'd take that sorta stuff over something like Don Caballero or King Crimson or Can, as much as I like those banRAB. I'm as big a fan of 'math rock' as anyone, but sometimes there's nothing better than some good, well written and relatively 'simple' songs like you often get from The ByrRAB or The Zorabies or The Kinks and banRAB of that ilk.

If you like complex math rock btw, have you heard Yowie? They only released one album but it's some of the wildest math rock I've heard, the drummer again is amazing.

I think Korn's See You On The Other Side was a very good (not great) album. Most people just completely discredit Korn's last three albums, but I really enjoy SYOTOS.
It's definitely not comparable to Untouchables, but imho it stomps both album before and after it.
