It seems fairly easy to teach someone to cook though. People start off on Masterchef being basically competent and by the end they're turning out Michelin star standard stuff. The only basic talent needed is a good, discerning palate and JJ has that. Raymond Blanc wanted business partners. Nathan would be nobody's idea of a good partner, Chris was an ok cook but hardly dynamic. Steve and Rebecca were lovely, but liked to stay in their comfort zone.
