The Restaurant 2009

Oh dear he's manning the pass again. Two weeks in a row. Theres no way these two can stay in the competition if he isn't even cooking and doesn't know how to cook.

I must admit I would be too intimidated by that belt to go into a Yo Sushi bar. How does it work? :)

Why do they keep calling him badger. Hasn't he got a real name.

STARPUSS- me too.
Im sad....
This used to be my fave show something I would never miss and sometimes would watch the repeat off even though Id watched it 1st time round!!
Im not feeling it this year at all.

No real characters, not NEAR enough couples, I cant believe we are already down to a measly 4 so early in. I don

Watching the programme tonight I had a sneaking suspicion that no couple would be eliminated. However, I did harbour a thought that the Winkers were history...

Sadly, it was not to be! Seriously though, can you imagine Raymond and gang opening a restaurant with any of the remaining couples?

Gosh remember the mango whiz from the opening episode last year, classic!!
REALLY looking forward to this coming back to our screens, it's so entertaining, and I heart Raymond Blanc.

Should help to ease my Michel Roux Jr withdrawal symptoms come Friday :D

Sorry, bit late to the party...

Excellent read guys, thanks so much for that!

Wow, and the winkers get to open their restaurant... amazing

Car crash telly at its best!!

Absolutely, but such a shame all the same. I guess that's also why all the restaurants are in the same city this time, to keep travel costs down!

Odd decision tonight. Frances was def out of her depth but Lucy had great potential. I felt sorry for her because Frances was snappy as well as a weak chef, she also couldn't take responsibilty for anything that went wrong. But still out of the two of them, one of them was fab which is a lot more than can be said for JJ and James who are both pretty awful!

I actually thought the Front Room people did the best tonight, they had good food and happy guests which is more than could be said for anyone else, and what's wrong with a bit of cream in your food anyway!

Sarah must have signed a lengthy insurance form before agreeing to eat any of that food!

I don't think the tea party and evening parties were filmed in the same day. I reckon they did the tea party one day and then the clients turned up at around 9am on the day of the party giving them time to prepare the cakes and food by 7 or 8 in the evening ... also because the Nigerians for eg had to go out and source organic food and they would have had to go shopping for cake decorations etc ...
