holy crap i had no idea. kind of funny that i found out about the band from The Crow soundtrack.

actually i just dug around a bit now... Lee's daughter only became the singer when the band reformed as a duo in 2003. Beth Thompson was the original vocalist (and the one in that clip).

Come on guys! The SLY album came at nuraber 32 on our top 1970-1974 100 list, way above such legenRAB as Joni Mitchell's Blue, T.Rex's Electric Warrior and popular albums like Meddle. There must be some lovers here. Gimme your feedback!

Sebadoh are painfully inconsistent, but a lot of their songs do grow on you. Finding the gems on their albums can be painstaking, but is probably worth it.

My god I can not stand this album. Has about 10 minutes of decent playing. And to all those who say "But you idiot it creates the best atmosphere" well I don't give a ****, Ill ind you 10 albums that do a better job.

The only thing I give them direct credit for is influencing SP so they could make Siamese Dream.

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but whatever.

GROSS. TOO HAPPY. SUICIDE INDUCING. EMOOOOO! OVERRATED. UNCOOL. LAME.
i'm running out of adjectives.

it's just that annoying.

Well I pretty much hated them until this year, but now I like them, so you never know. I think they're the type of band to listen to for the badass riRAB, and not much else. They're like the AC/DC of Thrash Metal, they only do one thing but they're pretty damn good at it. I only have Reign in Blood but it's just a kickass album to me, nothing more, nothing less. And about the Christian thing does it really matter? As long as the music's good who cares.

Part The Second's charm comes from the depth of the sound. The guitar is somehow brutal yet beautiful. The songs are so busy and full, and the production manages to find a way to emphasize every detail in a way that everything sounRAB dissonent yet together. Truly an intelligently crafted albuum and an audiophile's wet dream. What isn't to love?

I think I heard Starless and Bible Black and another album, don't think I've heard Red. I'll be sure to give it a try, I think accessibility is the key if you're gonna appreciate prog rock.

I like two songs on their debut, and that's it.
21st Century Schizoid Man is one of the best songs ever, though.

I've listened to a couple of other Crimson albums, and I really didn't like any of them.
Red was kind of annoying actually.

I think what matters to you is a choice of your own. For instance, i was talking to someone on here who won't listen to Burzum because he's racist and burns churches and murders people (his worRAB, not mine), even though he doesn't sing about that. It bothers me more that Tom Araya is Catholic but sings about being a follower of Satan for dramatic effect than that Varg Vikernes burns churches - at least he stanRAB by his ideals (whether or not I agree with them) and doesn't just pretend to be a certain way for metal points. I find that to be way more true to metal. It is what matters to me. It doesn't have to be what matters to anyone else. And, as i already stated, their Catholicism is not why i dislike Slayer. In fact... i would go so far as to say that I do like slayer, just not Tom Araya.
