Sex and The City (may contain spoilers)

Hi, really glad everyone enjoyed the film! I loved it too! I went to see it in Paris as I was there visiting from 27-30th May. Couldn't get a seat on 28th so I went to an afternoon showning on the 29th to the George V cinema on the Champs Elysees and it was almost a full house. It was the original version with French subtitles and I must say that the French seemed to love it too, even though they had to read the subtitles. In fact, it's the only film I've been to see in the cinema where the audience applauded at the end!! It was great!
 
I didn't think he was coming back. I just wanted him too.
Loved the character. He was always too good for Carrie anyway.

John Corbett (Aidan) was on E News and he was joking around saying how he wasn't happy about Big and Carrie being together. He said 'he stole my girl' lol

SJP said she begged to get Aidan in the film, but the writer guy said although he loved him, he couldn't justify getting him in it.
 
LOL I know, it was like watching live theatre! Id say 70% of the people in there were SATC fans allready and the rest had been dragged there by someone else who was.
It was nice to see the straight blokes enjoying it :D

Sam's dog was hillarious BTW :D :D I also thought the sushi scene was one of the funniest parts.

Some people have said that they didnt like when Charlotte crapped herself saying they lowered themselves, but if you think back, stuff like that happened in the series, like when Carrie farted in bed with Big, or Samantha's gf squirted in her face. I didnt think this was any worse than any of that.....
 
I went yesterday and loved in (even managed to blag 2 free SATC bags from the man behind the counter).

I thought that they lavish wedding, Big's no show was done fantastically well - how much did you feel for Carrie when she crumpled. I really felt for Miranda as well, when she realised she might be to blame for it all.

Loved it when Carrie and Big go back together, just love I supposed.... I wonder if they kept the apartment.

One thing though, how did Carries apartment get so big? I know it had a makeover, but it seemed enormous.

Also, wish they had kept the original theme tune.....

10/10 from me - can't wait to see it again.
 
Absolutely 10/10

As a HUGE fan of the tv series I was worried that the movie had been too hyped up and couldn't live up to expectations. How wrong was I!? It was perfect! Hilarious one minute and then so sad the next - my eyes welled up a good few times.

The writers had all four main characters at their best and I understand why they ended it the way they did. I was so so happy for Carrie at the beginning when you saw how good her relationship with Big was and then was completely crushed for her when it all went wrong. I would've liked to have seen more of Anthony and Stamford as I love them in the show but there wasn't really enough time after concentrating on the girls.

I'm going to see it again at the weekend with my sister but I'm actually not sure I can wait that long and might have to go back tonight!

If you loved the show, you'll have to love this!
 
YES!!! I'm sooooooooo glad people enjoyed it! I was really worried that the film was going to be crap!

Will go and see it next week....long lunch break for me! :D
 
Saw it this morning (it was pretty busy). Just been past the cinema on my way home and it looked packed out (all women!).

Really enjoyed it.

I gasped and got popcorn lodged in my throat!! Was so funny. Smith's aged badly. Gorgeous as he still is, after seeing the last few episodes on paramount last week and especially the episode where he and Samantha shaved their heaRAB, he ain't looking as hot.

Loved Charlotte. She stole the show. Tears in my eyes when she hugged Carrie after she battered Big with the bouquet.

And wasn't it so weird to hear Carrie call him John?!
 
She thought it was a great film, much better than she expected!

The cinema was packed out, though she thought that added to the atmosphere especially in the funny bits. The whole place was laughing out loud.
 
great film and great to know that those who said it would be a flop and not take any money have to eat their worRAB

not a predictable film as many have said but a fantastic script thats well worth the 2hours so roll on the DVD edition
 
Yes I did! and it says 'May' contain spoilers, well it definitely does so that's misleading!

As I said on the first page, I want to read this thread to find out if the film is good, it is possible to post opinions on how the film is, and put spoilers in tags, it's very simple really.
 
Hi could either you or someone else pm me and tell me what happens as I am awaiting back and coccyx surgery so I can't sit or walk hence I can't get to the cinema. I have tried looking things up on the net but not much is on there. Anyway if anyone could help me it would be really really appreciated and would make a very bored and in pain person very happy.:)
