Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Nope. Once they are marked dead, they are dead. They don't go back and change those.

However,

We don't know the details of the World of C. Charles did talk with Clovis and Euphemia while they were dead supposedly. And C.C. could talk with Marianne, and she is dead (for those of you who say otherwise it has been confirmed).

And I don't think Geass is pissing off the fans Sam...just you, and that's cause you dislike death :P!

And you know what, I am happy they had the guts to kill off Nunally, this is war, why should some blind little girl be spared?

Theres the preview for episode 9 and 10. Someone translate now!

Both of these episodes will be airing this coming sunday so be happy. Sunrise is making up the lack of an episode today with 2 next week.

Backup plan perhaps if anything went wrong. At least they could trust their children (ideally) if need be to carry on their desires for the world if they orchestrated the right circumstances more than anybody else that was a relative or a third-party. That is provided if things went right and not wrong like what had transpired.

Oh yeah and Chibi Charles freaks me out.

Just finished watching the episode-
Diethard is awesome. I'm glad he's still around.

...So did I hear Kanon right when he made that pretty risque comment about him and Schneizel? "Privately and publicly" ORLY? It's going to be a doujin explosion...although to tell you the truth I can totally see those two getting...close...together...canonly *cough* Kanon just screams 'I'm gay' every time he speaks.

Xingke is becoming one of my favorite character if not there already. The pinky-promise scene was exceptionally cute. Poor Empress was piratically trerabling with the first prince beside her. Yuck. Selling her into a marriage like that =[
For once I really, really wanted to smack Lulu for showing up at the end. Way to ruin a moment. Even for him, it was still kinda low.

wtfNina why aren't you dead yet.

But it's Milly.

I mean, seriously.

Just LOOK AT HER!

This may, in fact, be incontrovertible proof that Lloyd is actually the Eunuch General of the Chinese Federation, living a double life as a Britannian noble. That revelation will be the big cliffhanger twist in a couple of episodes, after Chinese Guy With Sword puts the Black Knights in contact with him.

Because the only logical explanation for this behavior is that Lloyd had his balls forcibly removed as a child.

It also explains why he hasn't made a pass at Cecile yet.

Ougi is trying to be the 'big man on campus', only... he's not big and has always supported Zero [even if there was some moments of doubt]. Maybe he's just sick of living in the shadows of their leader, and want's some time to shine on his own- this would be great if it wasn't for the enemy and he wasn't being a bastard. I wonder how 'easily' the Britannians are going to accept the Black Knights, expecially after their long history of being at war with each other. If Ougi thinks that a few simple worRAB and a hanRABhake are going to change the stance of the entire country, he's most likely mistaken. The fact of the matter is, the Black Knights are nothing with out Zero and now that they've abandoned him they'll go back to simply being a weak faction of little to no resistance.

Well, aside from the fanservice issues, this was a great episode. LeLouch's new mech was impressive, though I stand by my preference for the Gawain. As if to counterbalance the Kallen issue, LeLouch encouraging C.C. to escape if things go badly shows that he values her safety. I wonder if that sentiment was stressed because of Kallen's capture, or if he would've said that regardless.

Anya having Geass-induced visions along with C.C. was very weird. No idea what to make of that.

I certainly wasn't expecting the battle to resolve itself the way that it did. I thought LeLouch's argument with the Eunuchs was pointless and stupid when he could be crafting battle strategy, until it turned out that his argument was the strategy. Goading the Eunuchs into exposing their agenda and broadcasting it all over China was clever.

I'm starting to get very amused by this running joke about Tamaki's title. He's such an idiot and full of himself, it was fun seeing LeLouch use him as an excuse to get away from the group. C.C.'s knowing smirk capped that scene. And of all things, turning to Shirley for advice about Tianzi? That said, I did like his realization that Xing is as devoted to her protection as he is to Nunally's. Once again, LeLouch's good side is given the spotlight here.

I'm still not liking the upcoming Ashford episode, you know its going to be filler. Although, I was surprised to learn that LeLouch's goal was to find the order behind the Geass powers. It sounRAB as though C.C. was the "steward" of this once, whereas V.V. is now. Wherever it is, it must be where V.V. and Jeremiah are right now. We're in need of some flasrabroadacks & exposition to explain the history here, though.

So, ratings on a ten scale...

Humor: 7
Plot: 10
Todoh's awesomeness: 11
Fanservice: -2,321

The end.

Classy.

Quite fitting, curiously enough. I've always had a soft spot for the DCAU (and a certain other masked man, naturally), so this made my day.

Oh wow. That makes me think slightly different about Geass now. I mean, when you step back and look at the path the series has taken it's pretty wobbly and in my opinion goes all over the damn place. It feels nothing like season one and doesn't even seem connected to it in the slightest other than some characters. To see that it isn't sunshine and butterflies in the direction department is understandable. The 'original' as planned season of Code Geass R2 was probably alot better. Half of the aspects of R2 as it is now I can't stand. It's like random elements thrown together to make something slightly entertaining.

Anya...Marianne? WAAAA?

Yes, it would have been better to capture the children and then brain wash them into being Lulu's assassins like Rolo. I like how you think, you devil you.

Also, Cornelia-hime once again proves she is the most Gar Code Geass character this episode by being macgyver this episode a rigging herself a super artillery mech.

Nobody's really said anything yet, but interesting episode from this morning...uhm Rollo's got some issues. Somebody neeRAB to do something about him. He worries me more than Suzaku.

They really didn't change the ending. Not even a tweak from the leak. Good thing too.

I predict Tohdoh dying (even though I don't want him to)

Why, you ask?

"Um...Tohdoh-san. When this battle is over, there is something I want to ask you..."

In the anime world, that means either the person saying that or the person being said to is going to die somewhere at the end.

I also predict Rolo dying. Why? Do I really have to answer that question?

Lets not forgot the nice rebutal:

Since season 2 is supposed to take place on a Global Scale then does that mean that Lelouch would have to "conquer" Japan early on?, cause thats the only way i can see him going global.

EDIT: dam, the preview has Suzaku with what appears to be multiple scenes, does this mean hel be pulling a Ryuho once again?

I think the issue was playing to otaku fetishes as opposed to just fanservice, but yes, I see no point in continuing about it.

More interestingly, they basically handed us an easy guide to how LeLouch judges his subordinates.

Take a good look at Tamaki's rating on the bottom right--that got a good laugh out of me. More comments soon.

I think season two has felt kind of detatched from some of season one's better parts. Certainly if you asked me to pick a season to watch I'd go with the first one. Seemed more coherent, even if they did pad in the middle.
