I'm trying to figure out how to get my 6131 remote to control the volume
on an old Hafler preamp. The volume on the remote control doesn't control
the volume on the audio out jacks on the 6131. Any suggestions?

If all else fails, remove batteries, test the batteries to ensure all are good, then replace them. The process has corrected issues with remotes in the past for me.
Also check for you landladies prints on them!

I have a 9200 and a 5900 Bell PVR's. My 5900 is not very responsive to remote commands, i.e. entering a channel 400 for example by the second zero you have to press two or three times for the number to be entered and the channel change. I've used the 9200 IR remote and its the same issue not very responsive. So I thought I would try the 9200 UHF remote, I've attached the antenna and made sure the 9200 UHF is on remote address 1, but the remote does not operate the 5900. Anyone have an ideas what I'm missing or is this not possible?

The 6131 doesn't have it's own volume control, if that's what you're asking.

You could run it through your TV first, and use your TV audio out.

Open the Battery compartment, remove the small screw holding in the BLUE tab. Turn the tab over, it should say UHF. Program Remote to match your 5800.

Does anyone here know what the manufacturer remote codefor this TV so I can access it with the supplied Bell 6131 or 6141 remotes?

Many thanks

Yes, unplug one receiver.

Change the Remote Address on the other one.

Plug the first one back in.

Does the Bell TV Remote have the same Volume "FLAW" as the Roger's remotes do? ie: When I press the volume increment up on my Roger's remote, the TV light illuminates once to indicate it's sending the volume command to the TV, but then the CBL light lights immediately after, thus its impossible to do a rapid volume increment without waiting for the CBL light to finnish.

I do happen to have an older EchoStar Dish remote, which a friend gave me and it seems to operate normally, so I was wondering also, can I re-program it so the "SAT" mode operates my Cable box? or can it only operate a cable box with "AUX"???

thanks in advance. p.s the model number is IR Remote 103602

Firstly the antenna should be on a 5900 anyway so it can pick up the UHF signals, without it, you are using IR.

The 9200 does not have a UHF Remote, it has a UHF PRO Remote, which is not compatible.

Just try changing the remote code with the 5900 Remote and leave the antenna on there.

Hi. New forum member here.

I have an old 2700 receiver that has a dead remote. I inherited an 8.0 remote from my father and while I can set it up to turn my TV on/off and I cannot get it to work with the 2700. I know the 8.0 remote is UHF Pro but I'm under the impression that it should also send IR signals. Am I wrong about this? Can this remote be used to control my 2700?

I've merged your post into an existing sticky thread that covers in detail what you need to do.

See post #14 for information on how to set the remote volume buttons to work for the programmed TV ID or AVR ID.

i've heard of that happening to a friend... then he opend the remote and noticed it wasn't the brand of batteries he always buys

Thanks for quick response I will give that a try. I do have the antenna on the 5900. You think that maybe the remote address is causing the issue? What purpose does the antenna serve if using the IR remote, so why leave on?

I'm looking for a device code that will permit my Bell TV 9241 remote control to operate my Bose Cinemate GS series II audio system. What's in the 9241 User Guide and on Bell's Tech Support web site don't work. Any suggestions please?
T.U.

Well, I managed to control my Cable Box with the Bell remote, but the remote was programmed in "AUX" and not "SAT" so it does not control the menu, guide, info, and Settings buttons to the Cable STB. Weird because the Cabe Box'es remote, can be re-programmed to control a Satelight STB and all the function buttons will continue to work.

The chances are it is not the address but there is nothing wrong with choosing something other than the default. The Antenna does nothing if using IR.

Could it be that you have an LCD HD TV.?
