Programming BellTV Remotes

I have a 6100 receiver and a UHF PRO remote that worked together. I moved and now cannot get my remote to work my receiver, any ideas on what happened or how I can fix this. The remote will not reprogram to my receiver...I cannot get the remote address to change, however, I can program it to my television just fine...any advice or help would be appreciated!!

For my A/V sound system, I'm using an Yamaha HTR6130B. For the moment, I'm able to program the Bell remote to a way that I'm able to control the A/V sound Volume with it. But I'm not able to turn my A/V ON or OFF with the Bell remote. I'm sure that the brilliant idea that Yamaha had to make Two different buttons to control the powering, one button that turn the A/V ON and and another that turns it OFF, doesn't help a lot to make my A/V system Universal-remote friendly. So I'm trying to find a code or way so I would be able to make the remote and my A/V system to work better together. I would like at least to be able to turn my A/V on and off with it on top of been able to control the volume. I'm using the 5.3IR remote 146191.

The second set of directions does not seem to work with my Philips TV. Does anyone know the 3 digit code for this brnd?
Thanks!

Thank you Pinza...I bet the antenna was misplaced in the move, I guess that would explain the remotes not working! Any idea where I can get a replacement antenna?
Thanks again!

Are you using the "aux" button and have you tried using the 'scan' function of the remote.?

It's that easy.
Take out the smart card, or just go to the system information screen, and address the remote to the address that's already on the screen.

Problem solved.

BEV code in manual doesn't control TV. Tried code scan and additional codes provided by Viewsonic help desk. Basic need is for remote to power on/off and volume adjust TV. thanx!

Anyone know the code to work with a Pioneer 6010FD plasma. None of the codes in the book worked and I can't get it to work with the channel up step either.

For the life of me, I cannot get my remote to recognize the receiver and I don't see any fixes on Bell's website. I programmed it to turn on the television, but it won't bring up the program guide/turn the receiver on or off. Any ideas? Been working fine for months, until now.

Thanks!

Hi,

I just bought the a new LG 42PQ60 plasma TV (42 in). BTW, it was very nice TV!!

First, all of you know there's no LG TV into BEV user manual. But LG are the same brand than Goldstar, so I found a code who are working under Goldstar. BUT!! I can't switch the inputs on my TV with the BEV remote. So I have to use two remotes at a time (BEV + TV remote) and that's very annoying to me.

It probably doesn't make difference but my BEV receiver is a 9200 HD-PVR.

Does anybody have found a fully working code for the LG plasma's??

Thank you very much!!

had the same problem... something in the way the remote was designed to control mulitple devices...

if you rent the reciever call BellTV and ask for a replacement...

if you own the reciever and its less then a year old, do the same and call BellTV....

if you've owned it longer then that (1yr) then look on marketplace websites and see if you can find a used one.

Best of Luck

Many Yamaha (and some other) AVRs utilize discrete codes for the on/off function. Therefore the typical remote that comes with other equipment will not do this, since there is only one "power" button. This was mentioned in post 31, right above yours.

You'll need to consider a Harmony or similar remote to do this, or be satisfied with the volume functionality. Some remotes are "learning" remotes, in that they can be taught any command to any key, but I don't think the BTV remotes have this functionality?

Pinza,

No, I use the aux for my avr. I was hoping it would work with the TV button. I did scan, but gave up. How many options does it scan? (What number of presses before I should give up?)

Also, can the VCR one be programmed to operate a DVD player?

It seems to me that all three buttons should be 'aux' buttons that can run anything, and not only to do TV, VCR, and only one aux.

Unfortunately, some of the newer equipment is not supported by the older firmware in most remotes.

When asking for help or codes, please mention the model and revision of you remote, printed on the label on the underside.
