Pokemon Movie 13- Ho-oh Vs. Lugia?

Obviously, the Ho-Oh vs. Lugia was simply a teaser and there was no support for that footage being in the movie whatsoever. On the other hand, Evil Ash (or Dark Ash, if you perfer) looked much, Much more promising to be a part of this movie. Plus with the facts about the "Ruler of Illusions" makes it that much more possible.

Yah, gotta agree it looks freakin wicked.
I'm pretty excited for this film.
I wonder

What's with it transforming into Ash?
Will it being Ash play out through the film?
Could cause trouble for Ash.
Should be intresting. Animation, kind of reminRAB me of movie 5.

^ This. This isn't the first time that teasers showed something that actually didn't happen, if anything it was just to support Johto returning and what not.

Since the end of Johto Ash has been one of the most obnoxiously one-dimensional heroes in any anime. It would be a great thing to have him replaced, since at this point almost ANYONE could do a better job in the lead role than he does. Y'know, someone who can actually make me CARE about their Pokemon journey?

The anime HAS had a new director since the start of Diamond/Pearl, so maybe this new guy has enough sense to go through with chucking Ash out the window where he belongs. But I'm cynically doubting it.

True that.

There was some kind of caption somewhere on an official site (I think) that asked why there were two Ashs. I'm pretty sure the second Ash will be in the movie. Not necessarily EVIL Ash, though.

The next trailer usually comes out in March...

Mew was at least in the title of the movie. Aside from the World of Pokemon scene, I don't think Ho-oh and Lugia will appear at all.

I'm really sorry if I'm not supposed to post this, but.... the commercial for this movie is full of pure awesomeness.

Does this matter for the anime? Wild Pokemon are in different areas all the time.

That's why when Ash went back to Kanto for Battle Frontier, there were all of a sudden wild Johto and Hoenn Pokemon in the wild that weren't there the first time.

Since when have they ever stuck to region specific appearances? Even legendaries show up randomly in different regions.

Needless to say this is something that we haven't seen ever out of the current 4 generations.
I think It's probably an anime only thing. The anime can incorporate several aspects that the games cannot, and this evil-shadow-shapeshifting ability is most likely an anime-only exclusive ability

That's what I thought as well.

I was talking about the games as a whole, and how they manage to have Pikachu in those game. Did I mention the anime when I brought that up?

Pikachu would still be in the game. Like it's been since game one. My point was it would have to be in some gimmicky area like Safari Zone or the Backlot, and not truely wild like it is in Kanto with the Viridian Forest or the Power Plant.

The way I read one of his post implied to methat he was probably unaware of where to catch Pikachu in RSE & DPP and how it has a subtle meaning behind them. Since the point of that post was to show how Pikachu is able to be in those games and hold it's reign of mascot in Pokemon, especially after he said that another Pokemon should be the new mascot, which to me shouldn't even work to begin with since basically, if you think Pokemon, the public normally thinks of Pikachu, hence his iconic status.

You just can't give a Pikachu out like that anyway, it does still scream to me, Why did you replace Ash if this guy has all his mannerism?

Sure I understand that the shows don't follow that stuff, but I still don't recall any other area other than that forest with Pikachus in it. Besides, I always saw the Johto and Hoenn Pokemon being catchable in Kanto as a nod to FireRed's and LeafGreen's Sevii IslanRAB, which it kind of is since the whole BF arc in the anime was a nod to those games along with Emerald.

That was a pretty cool trailer.

The animation looked nice. While after hearing about Zoroark being able to create illusions, I thought that the whole dark Ash thing could happen. I didn't expect it to also turn into the Legendary Beasts. That was a nice twist. Maybe Zorua is angry at Celebi for time traveling since it looks like it was taken with Celebi. While having a Pokemon actually be the villain would be an interesting way to go, I don't think that they'll go that route with Zoroark. The red eyes make me think that it's controlled and/or it is fueled by intense rage. Brock's reaction to the second Ash was pretty darn funny though

Overall, it was a cool look into the movie. I'll be looking forward to hearing more news about it.

You sir, know what I'm talkin' about here.

And now we see other villains besides Hunter J and TG commiting some form of "violence" against other humans.... assuming Zoroark under the guise of the 3 Beasts is under the ownership of those villains, which is probably highly likely.

This makes me wonder if we're finally going to have a first-ever "evil" Pokemon. Which also makes me wonder what the games could turn out to be. But looking at Zoroark's glowing eyes, I'm thinking there's a possibility that it could be under the control of the movie villains. Can't wait for more info.
