Pokemon Movie 13- Ho-oh Vs. Lugia?

The trailer's also up on www.filb.de , if anybody wants to take a look at it.

I think we're gonna have a similar situation with Zorua/Zoroark like we had with Lucario. I don't think it's a Legendary, but the only Legendary that I can think of that has some sort of other evolution/breeding stage is Phione/Manaphy.

Speaking of Legendaries, it almost always seems there's more than one of each for some reason... in both the games and anime. Maybe they could touch up on that subject in Gen V?

I can't find the link for it, but apparently there's another trailer floating around... it's the same as this one, but at the end it shows Zorua turning into Piplup. Kinda interesting, apparently Zorua and Zoroark have the same illusionary ability.

OBJECTION!

*Chris Berman Voice* So you're ALLLLLLLLLLLL against me here... I'm sticking with Legendary, for controversy if anything else.

Mhmmm. that's something I've noticed after seeing the legendary birRAB outside the orange islanRAB (referring to the Movie 2 birRAB). Some legendary pokemon have more than one living today, but we still can't confirm more than 3 total for any (with the exception of Shaymin)

That would be cool if you could find that trailer. I'd love to see Zorua turn into Piplup. And why won't Zorua have the illusionary ability? It's the pre-evolved form of Zoroark, and we've seen what Zoroark can do already.

I'm not sure if we can say how many of one kind of Legendary Pokemon are out in the Pokemon world, other than the ones who are confirmed to be one of a kind like Mewtwo. There could be a lot out there, but they could live in harsh climates or hide themselves well enough to where people aren't able to find them. That's why most Legendary Pokemon would be considered extremely rare. Though, that's just a guess on my part.

While there is a story behind Lucario due to movie 8, I don't really see how that could help it become a Legendary. For starters, that story is mostly known around that Kingdom not only for Lucario, but also because of Sir Aaron. The other stories revolving around Legendary Pokemon are known throughout their specific region and/or the whole Pokemon world. When we have encountered Lucario in the series after the movie, they haven't connected those Lucario to the one in the movie. When they have seen Legendary Pokemon in the past, the Pokedex entry or what the characters say about it usually relate back to that story.

As for the special ability part, there are a ton of Pokemon that have unique abilities that aren't legendary. The Unown created Molly's dream world in the third movie and allowed Ash, Misty and Brock enter into Larvitar's mind back in Johto, but Unown aren't considered Legendary the last time I checked.

Even if Lucario's nurabers get really low somehow in the Pokemon World, I don't think that it would make it a Legendary Pokemon. It would just make it even more of a rare Pokemon. The fact that it still is an evolved Pokemon really prevents that from happening. Plus, since it was never considered a Legendary Pokemon all throughout the fourth generation, I seriously doubt that they would somehow make it out to be Legendary in the future of the series.

The idea of Lucario's nurabers getting really small also sounRAB pretty sad to me. Not only because I love Lucario, but also because that would mean that fewer Riolu are surviving or evolving into Lucario.

While it is possible that they could be throwing a new curve ball at us with somehow making a legendary Pokemon have a pre-evolution, I still seriously doubt it will happen. That would just go against what they have established for the past four generations. Unless they specifically say that Zoroark is a Legendary Pokemon, I'm just seeing it, along with Zorua, as a special kind of fifth generation Pokemon.

Yeah, it probably was a one time thing since Ditto has only transformed into other Pokemon after its first appearance. It was weird, but I thought that it would be fun to point it out anyway.

I took a look through the list of legendary pokemon. There are 35 official legendary pokemon through 4 generations. A few of these I believe that there are only one in the world (ex: Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Arceus, Rayquaza) but there are also a fair nuraber of legendaries that I believe, or we have proven that there are at least more than one (ex:Lugia, Zapdos, Latias).

Here's my case for Lucario. Lucario is widely known for it's special Aura sensing abilities. And this ability branched out in ancient time to some humans. These people then became Aura Guardians. We have heard about Aura Guardians for sometime now and I think they have some promise of being legendary themselves (like Sir Aaron). And because of this, I think the Aura connection could branch back to Lucario and make Lucario a legendary pokemon in the future.

That's a good point. Unown have been known to do some REALLY weird stuff in the pokemon world. I would consider them legendary too expect for the fact that there are several unown in existence.... just on a different dimension. Weird stuff......

There's no way Lucario would become a legendary in the games. Old pokemon don't get affected when entering into a new generation (with the exception of say Magnimite when it picked up a Steel Type). When I say Lucario could become a legendary pokemon in the future, I don't speak on video game terms.... or even anime terms. I'm thinking on realistic terms here (more like fantasy world terms, since this is the pokemon world). Maybe a 1000 years in the future, Lucario's Aura abilities and the Aura Guardians become legendary to the point that Lucario earns a legendary status.

I didn't mean to make this personal. I'd hate to see Lucario's nuraber go down too. I'm very fond of Lucario as well, especially the aura and it's abilities is very important to trainers and pokemon alike. You just have to know that when I think about the pokemon world, I remove the attachments to the games and think about it in a realistic sense. I find it interesting to think of it in that way and it opens up so many more possibilities. Heck, I might even be able to attempt writing Fan Fiction again because of all the new ideas we come up with from discussing things like this is such detail.

While I could see more than one Rayquaza living in the Pokemon universe, I wouldn't be surprised if there was only one Ho-Oh.

There have been legenRAB around a few Aura Guardians, like Sir Aaron and that one Aura Guardian from the Spiritorab episode. Though, even without the history of Aura Guardians, Lucario is still well known for its aura ability and most likely more well known, in the Pokemon universe, for that ability than Aura Guardians.

Oh, I thought that you were talking about Lucario's future status in the anime universe all this time. No wonder I was confused. Sorry about misreading your posts. Now that I understand where you're coming from, it is interesting in a sense, but I'm still not sure that's how Pokemon become legendaries. Plus, there's still the whole being an evolved Pokemon aspect that Lucario has.

You didn't make it personal. I was just thinking that the idea behind it was sad. While I agree that making the Pokemon world more realistic is interesting, it still doesn't connect too with the anime series. Though, it could make an interesting fan fiction short of thing.

So, does anyone think that they'll include more fifth generation Pokemon into the movie? Obviously, there would be more focus on Zoroark and Zorua, but do you think that we'll see anything else. I wouldn't be surprised if they included some cute little baby Pokemon that doesn't affect the storyline, like Mime Jr. from the Lucario movie, or randomly include one in a battle, like Donphan from the first movie.

That is very true. Lucario have been more popular than Aura Guardians. We only know about the three Aura Guardians (add Riley to that list) and we know Maylene has a Lucario. Now, Lucario aren't always owned by Aura Guardians, and Guardians don't always have Lucario, but you can't deny the connection between the two because of their aura abilities.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that earlier. I tend to do that a lot so I'm sorry that I confused you. I think how pokemon become legendary pokemon become legendary would be an interesting topic in the pokemon world.

Ok. Let's call this case closed. We don't want to stray too far off topic. I'll just take all the ideas we have discussed and keep working on a fan fic that I've probably wanted to start on of years now.

Oh for sure. I'm guessing by the time they release the movie they will start introducing a few 5th generation pokemon within the series, and this could be a good first look at all the new pokemon we will be getting in the near future.

I've also notice that there has been at least one young pokemon that plays a small role in the movie that somewhat foreshadows one of the characters obtaining this pokemon in the future. Examples include Munchlax, Bonsley, and Buizel, and Chimchar from movies 7-10.

Maybe the wrong thread but didn't think it was thread worthy..

When Gold and Silver proved so popular, the nuraber of proposals for related products coming your way increased.

the opening suggests a 4th series in the sinnoh region meaning we won't see the 5th region for a long time although zorua or zoroark may be captured just like munchlax but i doubt this because they have main parts in the movie i was wondering about any side pok
