Have to say I do occasionally watch or download movies via the internet, however since I have no wish to download anything more recent than 20 years old I don't feel incredibly guilty.
I am also only downloading movies I have on video as a way to save storage space, having no way to transfer same from video to dvd.
DVd prices are sometimes a little expensive but good deals are to be had if you shop around.
I do however object strongly to old movies still going for high prices, that's wrong.
In many cases the actors director and producer are all dead the film company out of business but because some company bought the rights to the film they think its ok to make us pay through the nose.
I personally think movies should have a time limit say 50 years after that they become public domain.
That's not unreasonable it would mean anything before 1958 would be free now.
Even better if they made it 30 years but I dont see that happening
On another note as has already been pointed out "I think"
Much piracy of Movies "and computer games for that matter"
Happens either within the film "or game" company or during duplication.
How else could such copies flood the market at or sometimes before release date.
Ebay, it has to be mentioned has many many cheap dvRAB, "movie and game" all coming from sources in the far east, could it be many of these countries make the original duplicates for the companies concerned then run off a few thousand more illegally ?
