Okay, Dogmann, we get it. You've made your point over and over again. I think you need to face the truth that there are many of us who are okay with the N97's shortcomings and are looking forward to the device. It seems to upset you when you see a group of people anticipating a device you don't like. And you resort to calling anyone who disagrees with you fanboys. You did the same thing on the Xperia forums on Esato for several months, telling everyone there that the Xperia wasn't going to be their "messiah" and that they were all Sony fanboys. Mark, make your point, then move on. If you were getting an N97 I could see an invested interest in this forum, but since you've written off Nokia and s60 I fail to see why you are here.
Also, as long as the N97 performs as well as my year old N95 and three month old 5800 then i'll be perfectly happy. I think a lot of the ram complaint come from people who want to run a million unnecessary apps all at once. One of the complaints I saw o another forum was that the 5800 crashes when running web, sports tracker, an IM client and music all at once. The most I ever run at once is Sports Tracker, email and music and never had either of those phones crash. Normal users are sensible about how many apps they run at once. If not, I can understand not wanting a N97. But let those of us who are content be content. We've heard all the processor, GPU, and ram complaints ad nauseum.
