*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

The question is ...why would you spent 1k that you need to worry about trust in the first place...

n97 should be a 500-600 dollar phone...my n96 i bought was not more than this and it is the current flagship.

I keep forgetting to do the SDK on my Windows machine at home. Wish they had a Mac version of the SDK.

Speaking of which, any way to synch up to a Mac from S60? I know I used to my UIQ devices.... EDIT: Looks like Nokia iSynch plugin. The S60 FAQ should come in handy... though largely theoretical until I actually get my N97.

LOL. Indeed but when the phone makes it so easy, why not run with it? Men have been showing off to impress women since the dawn of man so this is nothing new lol.

yeah, i have both...5800 is gonna be given away to a relative...the lock slide on the N97 feels like it should be on the 5800 and vice versa. Build quality wise, the slide lock on the n97 is only item that feels cheap.

Regarding the capacitive v resistive..someone earlier in this thread (or another related) mentioned that Nokia was restricted in using the capacitive screen due to patent issues..not sure if that's BS or not..but that's what was mentioned if anyone has any add'l concrete info-because really the capacitive screen would be a "seal the deal" for the N97 with many fence sitters IMO

What is the FCC link for the internal pictures of the N97? I got one of the PPC Tech guys asking about it, they are not sure if they can modify an N97, so i'll send them internal pics.

GSMarena didn't review the N97 yet because we're still waiting for it to be released.

Math is all going to be fact as long as it's done correctly. I already said that it doesn't matter, but the math does indeed prove that the actual SIZE of the screen is 10.4% bigger on the i8910 than on the N97, if anyone cares.
