*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

Obviously I was referring to the Omnia HD smartass, since you list it as one of your devices.

It has relevance to the N97 because you've been critical of its keyboard and I thought you would have some comparitive feedback.

or can they fit 2 antenna, 850/1900 and 900/2100, into the phone if the phone won't get too much larger and let the use to switch.
Nobody is going to use 850 and 900 at the same time, so it makes sense just have 2 antenna which shouldn't have any chanllenge?

Looks pretty good for a 2 years old processor that a lot of people keep bashing, I don't play much on my mobile devices but it's good to be able to play a couple games from time to time and I think N97 form factor is definitely among the best for games.

similiar thing happened to me but they charged me 771 instead of the price glitch. call brightpoint and not nokia cs and get it sorted. nothing was wrong with my order

I wonder about that. Why did take so long for some of us to get a confirmation email? If it was a system upgrade, shouldn't we all have gotten the email at the same time?

Their OS is top notch though, which is why it's hyped up and worthy of it. If it wasn't for the fact that it will probably not be available for north american GSM I honestly would end up with one because I love how they put together messaging and interaction with contacts and all the other sweet bits of the OS.

I really liked that N97 video until the end when I saw the guy scrolling through the menu. Ewww.

It seemed really responsive and fluid (minus the last part) but I am hoping that they enable kinetic scrolling in the menus. It's something I need from a touchscreen phone.

Well I don't care for jelly-filled donuts so I'll gladly buy your plain ones. Which is exactly the case here. As long as you are making money, what's going on across the street is of no concern.

I just got my N97 from nokiausa.com yesterday evening. I went ahead to charge it overnight. The next morning I found it stuck on the charging screen with the Nokia logo. Must have crashed midway through charging. Now it seems to have the "NOKIA" logo permanently burned in on the screen. This is a disaster :(

Any suggestions?

Because they can't get 80fps playing World of Warcraft...

Seriously, the E71 is snappy as hell at 369MHz and I'm sure the N97 will work well. We'll find out more when the phone is released and the reviews start pouring in. That said, now that we've seen other Nokias coming out with higher speed CPU's the reign of the N97 as the flagship seems to be very short. There's no way that this phone will not be surpassed by something by the end of the year or early 2010. The N97 will still allow me to combine my N95 and my E71 and to some extent my N810. Honestly, I am very much looking forward to the next tablet since OMAP3 has been confirmed on that platform.

Interesting, Brightpoint/Nokia USA did an auth or a charge today on my wife's order today which Amex declined thinking it may have been fraudulant. I couldn't get them to tell me if was an auth or charge though, but I called them and had it unblocked.
