The few times I've called (both dealing with N97 order and this one), its only been about 10 minutes at most to get through. More often than not I'm through in 2-3 minutes. Guess I've been lucky.
 
I have quick question, will the N86 OLED screen suffer outdoors the same as the N85?
I find this to be quite an annoyance on the N85.
 
It's not officially available, but if you load the file for the E52 onto your N86 using your PC it should work fine.... you just need about 20mb of free space on your C drive on the n86.

Once installed, goto the menu, and you should see the maps icon

That is my biggest disappointment, is the xenon also, i think i even posted it in the beginning of the thread, but when i had the n82, 3g won me over more so i stuck with the n95's, i cant explain why they didn't include xenon , to me its a no brainer and personally i think more people would use the xenon for the camera then the dual led for video recording. :buddies:
 
LOL! Sorry, I'm on vacation at the moment and didn't think to bring a tripod! With the N82, I never took blurry shots. :(

I have a question about my N86 that is probably FP2 related. I'm having some difficulty with the pictures in the gallery. When I open up the 'photos' app, I see several folders, two of which are 'Captured' and 'All'. I want to be able to see all my pictures and videos in one folder, but neither folder seems to do what I want. 'Captured' only displays the images/videos I've taken on the N86 and not the ones I took on other phones. If I edit a picture I took on the N86 and save it, the new file doesn't get saved in 'Captured' either. The 'All' folder does show all the files I want, but it also shows a few I DON'T want. It displays system photos, such as animated gifs for Shozu, Google apps, and other programs.

How do I get the phone to show all videos and pictures I've taken (and not ones that came when I downloaded other apps)? Which memory should I be saving my media to?
 
I have never once said that the N86 is the best phone. I have explicitly in this thread said that I agree that we won't know how it is until it comes out and gets compared to other phones, like the N82. The N86 is supposed to have a better sensor, lens, and variable aperture settings, as I've already discussed, so I'm curious to see how it does. But I have no idea if it's better than the N82 or not and I've said this clearly. So you obviously have not been reading my posts.

I have been making a point about Xenon flashes and flashes in general and about whether or not they are the most important or even an important factor when evaluating how cell phone cameras might improve (I care more about the lens and the sensor, than the flash, as I've said over and over). Several people here seem to agree with me. Several others vehemently disagree with me, to a point where they almost seem to worship the Xenon flash as the single thing above all else that is the measure of what makes for a good camera phone. I would just like to see other factors be given relatively more importance.
 
has anyone done any testing to see what kind of hit battery life takes when using the time and date screen saver vs not using a screen saver? i was using the screen saver when i first got the phone and battery life was brutal, but i know that is to be expected when first using a new battery. i just am not sure how much of the poor life is the due to the screen saver
 
hmm that's a good question. It does that on my N97 as well. Let us know if you find a solution.

btw... it's been a few more days. Are you still enjoying the N86? Damn I wish Nokia had a store in LA somewhere.
 
On the E71, you need to wait until the screen blacks out from being unattended before holding the centre key for the clock to show.

If you just lock the phone and press the key down, nothing will happen. Only when the screen blacks out is when this option is available.
