*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N86 8MP

I was so into getting this phone, the N900 or the 3GS to replace my N95. I got the 3GS because it just does what I do mostly better than the N86. Plus price played into it. Maybe I will get the 2nd generation N900 whatever that may be, but for now glad I got the 3GS.

I thought the same thing. I don't think my hands are particularly shaky, so I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the N86's camera button. Coming from the N82's button, the N86 is more recessed and requires more force to push. It feels like I have to press it in all the way for it to focus, then I have to jab my finger in even deeper to get it to take the pic. Maybe it is just me and I just have to get used to the button. As it is I still sometimes accidentally press too hard and take the picture without focusing, and I have to start again.

Never liked keypad tones myself. I am not sure how any of that stuff with the gps plays out without a data plan. I would try the new server anyways, and leave the other stuff on. things like google maps require data, but the gps app should not.

Its suppose to have hardened glass scratch resistant screen..

Also a screen protector would look weird as the screen is flushed like the N97.

It would have to go through the whole front face like the N97.

It is directly related to nokia messaging I have discovered. For me it only happens when I am on or receiving a call and nokia messaging decides to connect. Then the call is either refused if coming in or dropped if I am on it. I don't think it is an AT&T issue.

Another thing that is bothering me is the length of time that it takes to send a text message, upwards of 10 seconds. Does anybody else have this issue?

Well my question was answered. Dell just got them in and there going for 419.99 which I think is not a bad deal. So I jumped the gun and just ordered one. :2thumbs:

You can modify your workdays..

Go to..

Menu/Settings/General/Date and time/ Scroll all the way down and click on Workdays. Uncheck the days you don't want your alarm to be activated.

Other than that.. If you don't like it.. I recommend Handy Alarm by Epocware.

N81 was a slider too. It looks like the N82 is the sole exception.

That attitude is somewhat ironic given that the candybar and slab form factors minimize moving parts and joints, thus lending the phone a much more solid feel compared to flipphones and sliders.

yeah i noticed that it was working for me. I thought I was doing something special but I had it crash a few times after I had it working once. All I did was do a search first and then open up to browse by genres. Anyway, glad it see it's working now for the rest of you.
