*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N86 8MP

Only we are to blame for Nokia's new "innovative" releases. No other manufacturer has so many fanatics and Nokia knows it well. Be patient people, if N86 will be a full disaster for Nokia then they'll have no other choice but to release something really innovative.

The N86 comes with a remote adapter if that's what's it's called where you can connect the headphones. It has the play/pause, previous, next, and the call button. I haven't used it or the headphones the phone came with.

I knew it was $400 at NokiaUSA and right now it's even cheaper at other places. Every week the price is getting lower and lower. A lot of people who've used the touch screens can't go back, or that's what they've said if it's true or not.

It won't be the last good non-touch phone even if that's what everyone is saying. Look at the E72. I don't text much anyway so it didn't appeal to me as much as the N86. Last good slider phone maybe as there aren't many slider phones anyway.

More than a month of hard use specially camera, I am not able to scratch my lens .. I dont think there is any issue with N86 camera lens cover like N97 ..

Ok, I knew something didn't sound right. Read about this service some time ago and seemed useless. You can set gmail to check every 5 minutes (it even idles for a minute or two), and exchange can stay connected always. Plus did hear symbian guru talking about a price for this service eventually, so never bothered to look at it.

Thank you!
That is a well known fact, but Nokia has never really owned up to it.
What other reason could've been for the N82 to have such a ridiculous dull screen? Yeah the Xenon is great, but try watching a video on that thing.
That was the reason I got rid of my N82. Even though I loved that phone, I still do.

I have several 8GB and 4GB cards that I use while traveling, so it's actually quite annoying for me to have to pry the back cover off of the phone like it's a $150 Sony Ericsson. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but I don't like to see design back-pedaling.

I too hope that kick-stand is flimsy just because it's pre-production...that thing looked terrible -

I never understood the whole touchscreen cell phone craze. I hated the Tilt.

I just wish Nokia would give us guys that are Dads with kids and a wife that have cellphones and text alot a Nokia E72 with the N86 camera and software  I don't understand why they think the qwerty keyboard and the good CZ camera are mutually exclusive?

I've gotten that answer twice now, once of which was about a month and a half ago.

Nokia has worn me down on excitement with this phone.
If it were to of come out long ago, i would of payed top dollar.
Now technically this phone is old news.
While i still desire it, i'll be waiting for a price drop.

I am waiting but I already have the N85 because I did not figure that the N86 Nam would be seen before December but some on here say as soon as next week and all I am wondering is, how real is that time line or is that just another fabricated date just to see how many people will wet themselves over it, I have seen this with the 5800, the N97 and now this on people putting out release dates and not having a clue!!!!

I enjoy hearing peoples opinions on phones they love or hate and why. That is what these forums are all about. As long as you don't take it personally, its fun.

Its been said over and over again. Any time you have moving parts, the more there is a chance of flaws. This is one of the reasons that I liked the E71/E72.

Last I checked, my N82 didnt have any wobbles. LOL

No, I'm only using integrated GPS, as I said. I don't have a data plan, so I'm not using A-GPS.

v11 is what came on the phone. I haven't done any upgrades.
