*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I've tried that, but I guess I'm used to and would prefer having the detailed info, such as call times, listed for each particular contact, like how it was in my 6230b, rather than having all calls and text message info listed on one massive list. Thanks though..

One other thing: anyone else find it annoying that your long list of text messages, or dialed calls, or missed calls, the entries are not numbered? Yeah, dates and times are shown, and there is a scroll bar on the right side that lets you know roughly where you are in the list, but having them numbered would have been nice... oh well...nitpicks I guess! Still love the phone overall. I would have thought though that these minor details would have been carried over if I had them on my older nokia.

Hmm. Depends on how efficiently you USE your BB. If you do so like the average consumer ... and if your IT desk supports MS Exchange PUSH email - then you won't see a difference [UNLESS: they've upgraded to MS System Mobile Data Server along with Exchange 2007; ask them regarding this ... if they don't know have a ticket made with their manager and have him/her investigate fully to see how it equates to the BES! Lets just say major competition.]

However, if you frequently have email chains (multiple email convo's between another party on the BES), and you frequently jump to the next or the latest in the chain WITHOUT going back to the main messaging window ... then I'm not sure if MS Exchange PUSH or even Mobile Data Center (IF its implemented, its VERY new from microsoft this past 3mths). Furthermore, I'm not sure if Exchange PUSH allows for multiple folders access or even ".PAB", or even Calendar Free/Busy Lookup (then again if Exchange enabled this in 1/2 methods, its likely you cannot get this working on BES as well).

You REALLY need to see & evaluate how you use your BB, and if IT Desk supports MS Exchange PUSH / Web Outlook Access where a hosted solution may get this working for you ;D

Good hunting and you may end up with the Bold or Javelin down the road.

Oh dude. My work allows for OWA but ActiveSync I don't think they do - however with OWA E71 should be able to work. But because I support the BB I still have to carry this 8310. To be honest I'm not sure if I can opt out of carrying one. And yes the BB's OS 4.5 is nice ... but I rather have more consumer based apps than what is currently on the market for BB's and Facebook just doesn't cut it!

I think used the wrong code 7780 and didn't work for me :D . Actually the buttons were press/hold Call key (Green key) + * key + 3 key and power up. I got now too many phones and it is getting confusing

Screen is not a problem et all as i was using BJII for a while. The phone is nice and compact & the keypad got THE BEST tactile feedback. As i type I am still trying to get that app work, you know that last minute hope! :help: I hate to let it go

My friend's first smartphone was N73, she bought it for camera purposes, but picked up on the rest of the features intuitively, she isnt tech savvy, and man, it didn't take her that long to use S60 to it's full potential. She'll be picking up the N95-4 later this week.
