*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I think many people miss this fact when the complain the phone wasn't FP2. This is a business device first and foremost and the goal is stability of the OS. I'd rather have a fast and stable FP1 product than a buggy FP2 release and pray there is a firmware fix fast to fix the bugs. This is a fantastic phone out of the box and I'm blown away with the quickness compared to my N95-4. Granted the N95 would likely speed up with a reset but there is NO delay with the menu transitions at all on the E71. Well done Nokia.

The Samsung SBH500 do not work with the E71 (there is stuttering in the audio), while the Nokia BH-503 work perfectly. I love my SBH500s, but I've grown to love and highly recommend the BH-503s.

And since both are A2DP headphones and the E71 has A2DP support, you will get beautiful stereo sound.

ok, makes sense, but so does "Y"

why not just, use the d-pad left and right, or up and down keys for focusing and zooming for that matter??? just an idea though...

^ If nothing is clear by this month end, I am just going to get a copper E51 to pull me through for atleast 6 months.
Then , let those bastids in Espoo take their own sweet time and get eaten by the forthcoming competitors devices.

Then I will wait for the slider qwerty.

On the BB's and WM category helps sort out the contacts identically to MS Outlook. Makes sending out messages/emails a whole lot easier. However I must admit, the Team Suite app is a pretty damn good substitute for manual sorting of the contacts.

What keeps happening when you reboot the phone? The music player on my phone doesn't refresh the music library after rebooting the phone. If I copy new albums to my Sounds, Digital folder I have to manually refresh the music library.

Thats what I mean.

* Close out your music app.
* connect to USB cable in PC Suite mode.
* Use PC Suite's File Manager to look in Windows Explorer for the "Music" folder, not Sounds> Digital. (Reason being everytime you launch the Music Player it'll need to rebuild the database)
* Move all your music to the new MicroSD's Music Folder. (I'm not at a PC where I can check myself at the moment).
* reboot the phone, this should - if only 1 time - allow the Music Player to find all your music correctly; yet you'll need to recreate your playlists from scratch, maybe.

^ I'm going to follow the same thing on my E71 tonight > I only got to move 4 songs out of 53 and Music Player didn't need to rebuild just after, but haven't used it since.
