Obama targets private jets, Big Oil

oh i forgot,

I WANT TO USE A THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK WHERE THE OUTPUTS ACTUALLY DON'T MATTER, ARE IN UNITS OF UNICORN FARTS, AND VARY WILDLY ACROSS INDIVIDUALS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCURATELY MEASURE AND IMPLEMENT

I really don't know you, but I wonder if you have given even a moments thought to the definition of that phrase.

It sounRAB to me that you are 'anti free-bee.' Which is absolutely fine in my book. But I have to wonder if you are honestly consistent in that sentiment?

It's fine in my book if you are against poor people free loading off our system. But strictly from an intellectual honesty type standpoint, you would be a depraved hypocrite if you held to that belief yet still somehow believed that those of greater means should somehow also be held to a lesser standard as far as tax liability is concerned.

I respect the anti "nig***s on welfare" sentiment. I really do. But I also hope you understand that the largest single "gimme" ever given out in the recorded human history of this planet went not to the poor, but to the richest people this world has ever known.

i'm confused too. what do you mean by this? you get the same tax write-off as some "corporate fat-cat" who uses a private jet. neither of you can write off travel/mileage going to & from work, BUT if your work requires additional travel, you are allowed to deduct that by tracking mileage, or gas/tolls/maintenance/depreciation/etc. just so happens their travel isn't 50 miles by car, it's hundreRAB/thousanRAB of miles by plane. i don't think anyone is exploiting the tax code here.

i don't know of anyone that wants to raise taxes on the poor and leave them low on the rich, except maybe a few of those rich liberal elites that don't want more of their money taken away.

most people want no tax increases or small tax increases on everyone or just the upper end coupled with decreases in government spending.

Let me also ask you this.

I own my own transportation to get me to and from work. I pay for the fuel that powers that transportation.

Yet I don't get to write off my own car for tax purposes. I don't get to write off the fuel that I purchase to power that car for tax purposes.

Why is a CEO type held to a different standard than I am? Oh wait, allow me to guess. JOB CREATION?

More to the point, why in any scenario would I or anyone else in my shoes, as a working class sort of person vote to allow that type of scenario to continue to occur? Give me one FUCKING reason why I would condone such a policy at the ballot box.

I am all ears.

that may be but they still are paying more than their fair share. they make more money than the lower classes thus should pay more income tax in terms of real figures, and they do. not only do they pay more in terms of real figures, they pay more as a percentage too. and not only do they pay more as a percentage, the percentage they pay is actually higher than the percentage of national income they actually make.

so my question to you is this: since they're already paying more than their share in terms of their share of the income, at what level of taxation would you be comfortable for the rich? when will they be paying "enough" into the system for you?
