Kits - I hate to do this... but I'm going to...
You simply have NOT given the symbian OS enough time. You're coming from SE which has excellent UI. Guess what, you're using a smart phone now, not a basic SE (I also went to Nokia from SE). Use other SMART phones and you'll see how good symbian is...
Then again you may very well have no use for a smartphone and just need a basic phone. I had a samsung eternity (nice touchscreen) but it felt completely locked down. My n95-4 is hacked to the hills and I love it, I can do everythign with that phone and its awesome. I never have email problems since my work is on an ms exchange server (I use mail4exchange)... and recently people on bberrys and iphones have had syncing problems. No other phone manufacturer offers the total package of nokia's phones. Sure you may have this, this, and this, but lack us 3g, or lack a 5mp camera, or lack wifi. Nokia's latest offerings generally have everything, and I want everything. You haven't given yourself enough time to get used to symbian.... You made the same post with the n85 as you are now, and its just stupid. I guarantee you will be back.
Touchscreens ESPECIALLY require a 1-2 learning curve to really start loving them. I didn't like my eternity at first, but liked it before I sold it... but yeah I didn't want an at&t locked down branded phone made for a dumb consumer. $350 phones from at&t with no contract that look better and feel better? What are they? and O.K. ... I 100% guarantee they aren't as capable. End of story.
