N80 OWNERS, do you still like it?

You could try updating your firmware... it wasn't hard. But if you are afraid it might go wrong somewhere, then you should probably wait (my USB cable is kind of loose so I was afraid it would loose connection during the update but it didn't ).

Anyway, since the firmware update, I've had no random restarts, the Web browser has never quit, even with multiple windows open. I think I've gotten the "Out Of Memory" error maybe once or twice, but those were rather intensive pages. Still, if I wanted to view those pages, I could turn off my Active Standby to free up some memory and it would probably work.

So all in all, despite the video recording quality indoors, I love my N80. The battery is sufficient for me at least - I talked for about 2 hours yesterday with an hour or two of wifi and it was still at 5/7 bars at the end of the day. I'm thinking about getting a spare battery but I don't think I'll need to.

Got mine for $450 shipped at eBay. Apparently guy selling it got 2 as a B-Day present. Damn thing was brand spanking new. Still had the Amazon seal on the boxes. Call me lucky

Still waiting on a working keygen for Profimail and some workaround for Opera. The trial lags when it stores Login info and when it's first starting up.

Yup, still love it. I love the feel of the buttons and keypad. And the slide's great.
The MP3 Player is impressive (going to buy Sennheiser headphones soon) and the 3.2 megapixels is 'good enough' for me
Oh ... and the wi-fi is perfect. I don't have to carry around a laptop and wait for a 1~2 minute bootup anymore
Of course, everyone would wish for a bettery battery life.

Overall, very very very happy with the N80

I just got my IE a few days ago. Is there already a newer FW?? I havent bothered checking as I assumed it was the most recent @

i'm still very content with mine. Just grabbed a case that actually fits, a huge memory card, perfect screen protector, and finally found the perfect thing. This is the first black phone I've had and it is beautiful. Most me the programs out there already are all I need, so anything that comes out from here are just bonuses. I love it.

You know, it's interesting. I never really paid attention to the fact that it's so low... I use full Sony CircumAural headphones at home, and I just figured the N80 couldn't drive phones that were that big... didn't think it was a volume issue, just that it's not designed to drive more than ear buds... but as I tested out the n93, n73, and now e61, I'm finding that it IS really just a lot quieter. The n73, by the way, takes the cake for good audio quality for music IMHO.

do people complain about ur reception even if u have full bars...sayn u sound underwater or alot of disturbence when i have full signal and i tried it with there phone and listened to them in my n80 and i see what they mean...

I totally disagree with the build quality statement and keypad. I came from a 6620 to the 6682 and the keypad is far greater. But we all have our own opinions. I contemplated the N80. Going with the W810 instead.

The N80 is the best phone ever.

Feature-wise, its insane. I can do whatever I want on my phone, with an active internet connection. I really wish the so-called Flickr application, and the Skype application would get released sooner though.

My only beef is that it came with a piece of crap firmware. The new one fixed most if not all the bugs.

I hate the idea of having to carry around a spare battery for a phone. I have one for the N80, but I never remember to carry it and I never need it.

I highly suggest updating the firmware. There's a detailed step-by-step tutorial for the N80 specifically on how to do it and where to get all the necessary files in its pages somewhere.

;7325731']i just got the phone today
it really is a sexy phone if theres such a thing

sigh... i just keep staring at it, my gf is gonna get jealous soon... lol
gonna upload songs and stuff now =)

ok i've gone through maybe like 30+ phones in just over a year

and i can say the n80 is the most feature packed phone i've had..the battery life gets me through teh day without charging until i need to go to sleep..so that's just perfect for me

after the firmware update...like dinan said....no problems with restarts or any lagging of any sort...

yes there are hardly any programs out right now...but it will come...patience is all you need..

and pictures..i don't know where everyone saying it's so bad....the pictures do fine for me...and this coming from every SE phone with autofocus even the k790i....it does the job but what cell phone camera replaces your digital camera??

Well I still have mine and as a phone it's still great...call quality and RF performance are superb! Im still having major issues with the memory (web browsing and picture zooming past 50%) but asside from those problems 2 thumbs up!

The silver is my personal favourite as it looks more elegant and expensive, still love the fact that I have not seen another person using this phone :-)

As far as the camera goes, the still photos are superb, best I have seen on a camera phone up to now but the video performance is shocking!! The video is so bad I cant stand to use it... hopefully improvrments will happen with a firmware update.

Overall, im keeping it but a small part of me is still missing the imate Jam ...
