N80 OWNERS, do you still like it?

its not too bad if you change your settings correctly

with very heavy use i have to charge it every night. with normal use it could probably last two days. and this is with the screen on brightest. i'm sure it would last a lot longer if i turned the screen down. i know my laptop will last twice as long with the brightness turned down

i dont really understand what the big deal is about charging your phone every night. might as well just stick it on the charger before you go to bed. i have always done this even on phones that will last two or three days

I think if the silver had a silver keypad with black buttons i'd be more attracted to it. And a silver back. I like that the black looks like a complete package, as opposed to the silver looking to me more like a simple faceplate.

the memory card, the ones from the factory came with a Sudoku game that auto-installs when you put the card in the phone for the first time. For some reason this install is corrupted, and thus will continually try to install itself, obviously depleting the phone's memory. Really the only way to fix it is to format the card in a pc card reader and do a hard reset of the phone. After doing both, i never got a low-memory error.

www.symbian9.com keeps pretty good track of what new programs are available, and there's a place to alert them to new ones. N80 (and pretty much all new s60 devices) being 3rd edition, older .sis programs won't install, they need to be certified or something (still don't completely understand the process, there's another thread on it in the forum)

honestly there aren't any cracks yet because all the software is so new. smartmovie and profimail just came out a week or two ago and the current keygens and whatnot don't work for them.

I personally think the black version is sexy as hell. The silver, while nice, i think looks imcomplete, as noted above.

Coming from Nextel, I am used to pluggin the phone in the charger every night...its no biggie, u wake up fresh, and so does ur phone

besides, u wouldn't want ur phones dying out durin the next day now would u?

The camera was amazing on my N70! The video quality blew me away. The only few things keeping me from going back to that phone is that I remember the galelry was intensely slow, the screen is going to be hard to adjust to now that I've seen Nokia's higher resolution, and I hate the idea of going back to a phone I've had already. There's a first for everything, I suppose.

yeah the screen on the n70 is the only thing that bothers me, the screen on the n80 is so nice, but not nice enough for me to keep that thing. i love the camera on the n70, and the n71

yeah it is getting harder and harder to justify using this theme with that bug. is it possible to open the theme up in the theme maker program and change settings of themes you download???

Why do you guys say "buggy software"? anyone that knows me knows that I am a pretty power user, i try to do anything and everything I can with my phone, and have had no problems. The battery life, after a few cycles, is no different than my 6682.

i only kept the n80 for two days and sold it..maybe i didn't give it enough of a chance but the thing kept crashing on me and i guess i expected alot more out of it ...just got my n73 yesterday...now THIS is a keeper.....

Yeah... that and the text on some Java apps (like opera mini or google maps) is black on black background with that theme. Had to stop using it... pity since it was such a nice theme.

Is it me or is it REALLY hard to find good plain, simple, but stylish themes that don't have some sort of bug? After searching and testing many... I've had to revert to using the themes that came with the phone =(
