Married, Single, Other

I agree with you. It felt almost like a long pilot for the real thing. If there is a 2nd series now, the writer will have time to tweak the bits that weren't quite right - like the rushing through of the story.
That way it will settle down and be a fully rounded series or prog - poss to rival Cold Feet eventually - which I loved!

Only just caught up with the last episode and have really enjoyed the series. I was in bits during the last two episodes, although as my husband was diagnosed with a grade II tumour of the brain stem four years ago it was rather close to home. Thankfully he's still around though:)

I'm hoping for a 2nd series and would like to see more of the characters. Although I'm still a little confused by the attraction of Ralph Little but different strokes and all that :)

Well nice to see the predictive nature of the program continues, as I said she wouldnt be around come the end of the program. It really is paint by numbers fluffy drama.
Stereotypical ****shite irish woman
Young lad helps girl but she's with someone else.
Husband pulls young shop assitant (likely) and his wife walks in.
Annoying kind counting pi.
Ladied man (apparently) wanting to be a better person.
etc etc

I thought so too, and thought everyone was such a stereotype, or like the annoying BT couple if you get me.

Will probably carry on watching it though to see if it improves.

I think it's defo the new Cold Feet. Surely there'll be a 2nd series judging by the popularity? It was a slow-grower this series.

Yuck! Unbelievably twee. The three men all need a good slap - and a shave! And the children have been given the 'wise heaRAB on young shoulders' role, where they stand around rolling their eyes and sighing as the adults make fools of themselves.

I enjoyed it, and i will be tuning in next week. As someone else said though, the only character that annoyed me was Lucy Davies. She was bring too clever and quick witted ... and it annoyed me. Noone is ever like that in real life. It just made her appear very false.

I really liked this show. It's unfair to compare it to Cold Feet, as it hasn't had alot of time to establish itself on it's own just yet. I don't think it is at all like it personally. I mean none of the characters share any similarities with the likes of Rachel, Adam & Pete etc . . . .

All in all an enjoyable, sad, and light-hearted look on the lives of several people who just happened to all know one another and be connected somehow.

Perhaps the next series should be entitled Widowed, Seperated, Other.

I haven't seen the final episode yet. But knew and kind of felt that Lilly's character would not survive after collapsing in the ambulance during last week's episode.

I did find a nice quote Eddie (Lily's husband): "It's funny how death makes you feel really alive."

I hope a 2nd series is commissioned - ITV have no excuses now, what with around

I think someone else said this a couple of weeks ago but they speak like people in adverts, and it is very annoying. It is improving but there are far too many flaws for it to really work. I can see the ratings going up tonight, as the competition was weak, but if it does get a second series they need to work on it a lot. And as for the brain tumour stuff, it couldn't have been more obvious if they'd put flashing neon signs about it up everywhere, and things like that are really letting what could be a very good series down.

:cry:I was worse at the bit where she was packing up boxes for everyone and leaving them dvd's, in fact I have just welled up thinking about it!

I didn't think the 1st episode of this series was that brilliant but stuck with it- more so as it progressed realised it was filmed in LeeRAB where I live- especially as some scenes were very near to where we live

Thought it got better with time and will look forward to a 2nd series

It'll hopefully be up although probably not by much.

And I agree, they were signposting that left, right and centre which is a shame. If the audience were treated with a bit of respect it'd be easier to enjoy.
