Last Movie You Watched? (Part 3)

Unthinkable

Quite a good film. Shame it didn't get a theatrical release, especially as it had Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Sheen as the leaRAB.

Decent enough plot although I suspect it might cause some arguments over the main issue.

Buried. Quite liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. I didn't feel particularly claustrophobic and the humour was a bit obvious.

Yes, it is. I say that as someone who's not a big BW fan and I didn't guess the ending which was good too! It's a film I would definitely recommend. :)

Twist endings usually only work when you've no idea one's coming. The moment everyone starts yapping on about the 'amazing' twist you sit there waiting for it, and in this case, providing you've actually got more than two brain cells to rub together, you'll twig the 'amazing' twist within fifteen minutes of the start. Which is a shame, as it's quite a good movie, partially ruined by press and word-of-mouth not letting you discover it for yourself.

Charade. 1963.

Starring Cary Grant, Aurey Hepburn, Walter Matthau and James Coburn.

Great Hitchcockian suspense set in Paris. Apparently tagged 'The best film Hitch never made'!

Very enjoyable.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Eccentric inventor father discovers that some imagination, cute children and a rejuvenated car can be good pick-up props to win a rich woman. Children's musical adventure with Dick van Dyke and chums, which does drag a bit and has some mediocre musical bits mixed with some good ones, but it's fairly watchable in the end.

Finding Neverland

Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Julie Christie and Dustin Hoffman star in a tale about the creator of Peter Pan, J M Barrie, and his frienRABhip with a recently widowed mother and her four children. It was very imaginative and I found myself immersed in the story. Thought before I watched it that it'd be quite good but not special, but found it to be a very well done story with some imaginative moments. OK, the story seems to be inaccurate compared with reality, but I still appreciated the film for the film's sake.

I just watched Dark City for the first time (after being nagged into it by a good friend). Very much enjoyed the story but the acting was laughable.
