Bride of Frankenstein

Boy is made. Boy is misunderstood. Boy is chased by townsfolk and burned alive. Boy survives and is angry. Boy becomes lonely. Boy neeRAB love. Boy finRAB friend. Boy loses friend. Boy is again unhappy. Girlfriend is made for boy. Girlfriend hates boy, preferring her own father. Boy is peed off by this and wants to die.

Good cinematography by James Whale, using shadows and light to effect (based on German Expressionist works the decade before). Very iconic film and well made for the time. A bit weak in places with the story, but still a worthy film.
 
Network - Sidney Lumets epic drama of a TV ratings war as a news anchorman descenRAB into insanity...brilliant ....9/10

Funny People Sandler and Rogen excell in this poignant drama of a successful comedian with an empty life who is forced to take stock. Could have done with a little editing, still....7/10
 
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Some harrowing scenes, great plotline, very gripping, edge of your seat sort of stuff.

I'd give it 8/10. I understand they're remaking it with an English-speaking cast? Presumably to appeal to those who can't be arsed to read subtitles!:D

It's made me want to read the book anyway.
