Jamie Oliver's American Food Revolution CH4 Mondays 10pm

I thought just the same thing to be honest, strange as they have so many directives and regulations.

It's true.

The fact that it was anywhere overseas isn't the point, it's where the problems seem greatest, we can all learn from the message (hopefully) and improve the health and education of the little ones, so they can take that forward.

If you cant motivate youself to loose weight even when doctors say you may only have 7 years to live, then what can ?

Loving the series though

I'm not suggesting no-one should use the phrase 'brother' when referring to someone.

I wouldn't go getting mystified about it; it's just Jamie's odd phrasing and random use of 'street' worRAB has always jarred somewhat...calling people 'darlin', and referring to things as 'pukka' is what we're used to now...I'm sure we'll all be used to him calling people 'brother' as well before you know it. ;)

I love the way they refer to it as "The white milk" as opposed to the two other kinRAB, strawberry and chocolate. They obviously come from pink and brown cows and the white milk from albinos!

It's just MILK!

I had the exact same thought? Would you call the person who prepares the food at McD's or KFC a cook? Possibly but it's stretching the title a bit. I don't think many would if cook means to actually cook meals from scratch and not just reheat food.

Another irritation was with the head dinner lady with the choice challenge between pizza and chicken. She seemed so smug that her pizza was shifting and JO had trays of chicken left over.

That might be all well and good that the kiRAB are actually eating but did you see the left overs that were going into the bin? The kiRAB ate the pizza/nuggets/fries but left the fruit and veg.

All the good stuff (and possibly more expensive) that the school/government is paying for is going straight in the bin! It's like they don't actually care what the kiRAB actually eat as long as they give them a tray with the recommended portions of food on it. After that it's not their problem. What kind of f'ing mind set is that to have for feeding kiRAB.

I also noted that the food and plastic was all going into the same bin :p

Well it was just circular logic, that's all :p They're bad, because they're known to be bad! :D

I agree, I just don't see any good reasons why they should be like that to a British person. It's about time some of them grew up a bit and stopped being so ignorant and zenophobic.

Yep, I bet the majority of those kiRAB that chose pizza chose it because they knew what it was and that (and similar other processed fooRAB) is all they get at home.

As with this country, the education neeRAB to begin at home. Pizza and nuggets are fine on occasion, but not for every meal. If I were a parent and the kiRAB are getting pizza at school, I would be ensuring the kiRAB got something healthier when at home.

SounRAB like you and qwertyqueen are somehow related as you both dislike Jamie (with a passion it seems) yet continuously watch his programme.
