WOW, I was really impressed. I underestimated Robert Downey Jr. and maybe even rolled my eyes a little bit, when I heard he was going to be the lead, but seriously, he was awesome and perfectly cast. The show IMHO was great for an introductory film. I'm sure the sequel will be more detailed, more action packed and hs character more developed, so I'm looking forward to it. I really wished Rachel McAdams wouldn't have turned down the role of Pepper, cause I love her and would have rather seen her in the role, but Gwyneth, even though I'm not a huge fan, had good chemistry with Robert and I loved their bantering. Jeff Bridges and Terrence Howard were great in their roles as well and Leslie Bibb (haven't seen her a while) looked gorgeous.
Also, man, I kinda have the hots for RDJ now.. When he was building the suit and he was all sweaty, I think I maybe drooled a bit and honestly I never thought I would say that ever, cause for someone reason, I can't get passed him in Wierd Sciene, with the wierd hair and gap between his teeth.
[sp]I have to say i'm a bit disappointed and I know this is going to sound wierd, but I kinda was expecting, or maybe hoping to hear Iron Man before the credits. I just knew when he first put on the suit and made his escape it would play then, but we got teased. Sometimes music can make a scene and I guess I kinda wanted to hear it then. I also loved when Leslie Bibbs character and Pepper, had words at the beginning, when she said something about Pepper still doing his laundry/dry cleaning, can't remember the exact quote and she said something along the lines of taking out the trash. I laughed out loud and I loved Pepper's gift to Tony, about having a heart. I thought it was super sweet.
BTW - Was Samuel L. Jackson's scene important? We stayed after the credits, but I was kinda confused by it.[/sp]
The wierd thing is, I had no intentions on watching the film, but my son wanted too, so he is the reason we went and I liked it as much as he did. So I'm glad we went.
