LoveFilm used to be great. But I watch a lot of films, and I think someone there has decided to put the brakes on my service. It is really slow now, and they often send the same disc twice. If I return a disc now on Tuesday, my next disc often doesn't arrive until the following Monday (!!!!).

I have complained by email and on the phone, but they just don't seem to care. They admit something is wrong, but "it's not likely to get any better".

I said if they couldn't improve their delivery, I'd have to cancel my subscription. They really didn't care.

So, if you are renting 2-3 discs per month, LoveFilm may be great, but not really a very good value. If you are renting 2-3 discs per week, they'll figure out how to slow you down and scr*w you.

I agree got sucked in on the 3 for 1 offer 1st month great now in my 3rd month and i've complained loaRAB of times the turnaround is rubbish im lucky if i get 3 a week and there usually from the bottom of the queue...

I switched to LoveFilm when 'long wait' appeared against many of the films/programmes I ordered from Amazon - and some of them were not even latest releases.
LoveFilm have dispatched all requests promptly, although the reply envelopes always seem to need sellotaping up!

Hi If anyone does want to trial Lovefilm, they have a new free trial where u get 6 free rentals + 2 free cinema tickets - which is a good offer.

If you go here theres more details about the offer.

But that site doesn't make it clear that Tesco=ScreenSelect and Mailbox=DVRAB365 does it? So you have to subtract 14 days for Tesco and 14 days for Mailbox to get the maximum possible free period. Even so, that's only achievable if you haven't already signed up to one of the other aliases of LOVEFilm, ScreenSelect or DVRAB365.

So the chances are you'll never achieve the promised 160, or even the slightly more plausible 145 days uninterrupted free DVD rental.

Better to go straight to the companies anyway, then sites making unrealistic claims don't get unjustified kudos.

The main problem I am having at the moment is damaged discs. I know it is not the fault of Lovefilm but the idiots who use them as frisbies at home.
Ban all these idiots now

Funny kate36 should mention screenselect's customer service, I have been trying for a bout a week now to get to get them to reactivate my accofunt, but they keep ignoring my emails.

Do you think I should just keep emailing them every day? I can't see what the problem is, unless they have a huge back log.

It's really frustrating, I may have to take my custom elsewhere.

Oh, you don't seem to be able to call them on their 0800 number anymore... very strange.

I tried Q flicks for a while until the system would not let me enter on my password. I tried e mailing them and asking for help all to no avail.

I switched to Lovefilm and I think it's great. I have had a load of films so far. I subscribed to the 1 DVD at a time service which is the cheapest. One at a time is plenty for me. I barely have time to watch the one I have never mind 3 at any one time. It costs just
