Internet DVD rental

When I tried Lovefilm I thought the packaging was fine. Screenselect on the other hand must have shares in Sellotape - as soon as you push the DVD into the envelope a split opens up along the side. Have Lovefilm changed their packaging? BTW, the best packaging I found to be Moviemine's - they used jiffy style envelopes when I was with them.

Any Blockbuster members here know if they have stopped sending out both discs in a 2 disc title now? Just rented 'Catch me if you can' from them which is definitely a 2 disc job but i only got disc 1 which has no extras on it at all! :(

I switched from Screen Select to Amazon this week, as Screen Select's customer service did not assist me enough in my opinion;

1] They never replied to my emails telling them my rental list was out of date [four emails i sent altogether]

2]Consequently, they sent me yet another DVD making it four instead of three, and marking one i had just received as being returned! :confused:

Just petty annoyances but I switched allegiance to Amazon as having been a buying customer of theirs for a couple of years, I felt they would be fairly reliable in renting. I joined on the 12th and got my first 3 DVRAB the next day :D

The main difference with Amazon is that they have a restriction on how many you can have a month ie four or six DVD's which they send in pairs for the four disc deal or as a trio for the six disc deal. This suits me perfectly but might not be everyone's cup of tea...
Their prices are good

iv tried blockbuster online but cancelled when they randomly started sending dvRAB that wasnt on the list id selected. iv just cancelled s/select who are loaRAB better but i having a break cuz i can download what i want online for free.

I've been with Blockbuster for 4 months now and I have had no problems. Excellent service.

Only problem is that some (I'm talking only 3 or 4 out of nearly 30) of the discs are terribly scratched. So much so that they just stop playing. What do some people do to discs?! I mean, all you have to do is take it out of the case, put in the machine, take it out and put back in case! It's like they've scrubbed them with a brilo pad!

:mad:

Well you would have seen all the episodes... but very much out of sequence... I wouldn't like to receive the season finale without having seeing any of the other discs in that season... Stargate SG1 for instance, did have some continuing story threaRAB so I'm afraid it would be a big thumbs down for the internet rental firms on that point, in my opinion...

If anyone has used Malibox movies, or DVRAB365, they are now using the same database, so you cannot sign up for free trials with DVRAB365, Movietrak, Mailbox movies or Qflicks, if you've had a trial with any of them previously.

Also Tesco use the same database as VideoIsland/Screen Select used, so you cannot use them if you've tried screenselect.
