IGN Top 100 Animated TV Series Talkback

Well since you asked...
Definitely deserves that spot.
Haven't seen it in a while (I really need to pick up that complete series set released a couple months ago), but from what I remember it was a good show.
If we're talking seasons 1-9, definitely, no question.
Replace this with seasons 1-3 of SpongeBob and I agree (not that I hate EEnE, but I like SpongeBob more).
I like it, but not enough to be in my top ten.
Never got into the Flintstones, to be honest. I can appreciate its influence and longevity, but it didn't click with me for some reason.
Again, I appreciate the groundbreaking stuff it did for Japanese TV animation, but I wouldn't put it in my top ten because I haven't rewatched it since I bought it. To me, something in the top ten should have some replay value.
Only seen a couple episodes, but I find the parodies better than the source material.
In terms of Japanese animated top ten, definitely. In terms of top ten total, sorry, but I'd have to say no.
Agreed.

Actually, it should be higher.

I'm waiting for the top 20 because there are bound to be a few bombshells there, like Dora the Explorer is #17 or something.

As would I, at least Avatar had a set ending from the start and a focused goal, even with the lackluster third season and simplified writing; it was still leagues ahead of anything the DCAU did. Unless we're talking about the influence/groundbreaking-ness, then I'd easily put B:TAS above it.

My Top 10, with no pretense of objectivity:

1. Cowboy Bebop (most perfect TV show ever?)
2. Futurama (I don't think I've ever gone a day without quoting it in quite some time...)
3. Paranoia Agent (raeeyaoraeeyowamushroomcloudinthesky...)
4. Looney Tunes (only so low because the sheer quantity produced a lot of lesser shorts; just looking at the best of the bunch, it should be #1)
5. The Simpsons (lower on the list for the same reason as Looney Tunes; the classic seasons would be #2)
6. Samurai Jack (somewhat nostalgic favorite of mine that's still full of artistic inspiration)
7. Invader ZIM (ignoring the brand's current obnoxiousness, still a work of genius)
8. Neon Genesis Evangelion (hard to deny how twistedly involving this classic is)
9. Justice League Unlimited (DCAU placeholder series, but on its own arguably more consistently great than B:TAS)
10. close call between Fullmetal Alchemist and Avatar: The Last Airbender (not world-changing shows, but well-done and addictive)
