This whole SAT thing is a joke, really.
Someone was calling from New York, NY (caller ID) and was registered to be living in BC. You know what SAT did ? They politely asked the customer if he were in the United States. He said no and there ya go, thank you for calling have a nice day. And beware, if SAT made contact with you even once, your account is tagged for life with memos and notes and each time you'll call to activate/deactivate/transfer a receiver, you are guilty until proven innocent. Actually, they even made it worst with the new MultiVu application. There is now a white-on-red message appearing brutally notifying the agent the account is targeted by SAT. Now how many accounts, out of all the people who are using Expressvu at two locations, were successfully targeted ?
The BEV CRM was not created to handle this cottage flip/flop option and it has to be done by hand each time, with the chance of an agent making a mistake and the client having to call back. This is ridiculous. Furthermore, there is no self-serve system to do that job, meaning bell loses ~5$ EACH TIME you call to flip/flop. That's right: each time you call Expressvu, it costs them 5$.
Good riddance for a stupid policy, some might say. I'm not against applying CRTC policies but come on, the least would be to give the customers adequate means to flip/flop their receivers.
